At a time when the Taiping Rebellion swept through half of the Qing Dynasty's territory, the Qing government sent a large number of regular troops, but these were vulnerable, and at this time, the Qing rulers learned from the practices of the late Han Dynasty and repeatedly issued orders to reward regimental training, trying to use the landlord armed forces everywhere to curb the development of the Taiping Army. This Taqib's full name is Tao Jia Taqib, is a Manchu, subordinate to the Yellow Banner, in his early years as a firearms battalion shotgun guard, later promoted to a third class bodyguard, and in 1851 AD was sent to the Hunan Green Camp, as the capital, acting as the fubiao left camp garrison. Many people are estimated to be very confused, Zeng Guofan formed the Xiang Army, why did he ask the imperial court for a SipinDusi to come over, although this person is a person with a yellow flag, but this person does not seem to be special?
It is true that there is nothing special, and in the original Manchu surname, there is no Tao Jia surname. According to records, a branch of the Manchu Tao clan originated in Shanghai, and during the Zhu Yuanzhang period, the crime was sent to Suizhong County outside Guanwai, and it had developed into a large family by the end of the Ming Dynasty. When the Ming and Qing dynasties were at war, 56 members of the Tao family died in the war, and the rest of the Tao clan were forced to join the banner and become subordinate to the Han Eight Banners, and after changing to the flag nationality, they usually added a "falcon" character under the Han surname, and during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor, they were changed to the two-character surname Tao Jia.
Why introduce the origin of Dow? Because of their history, they were doomed to be impossible to be reused in the Manchu Qing. Of course, it is also necessary to rule out that Zeng Guofan and Taqibu have too many in-depth friendships, because Zeng Guofan is a legendary figure in the official field of the late Qing Dynasty, and after entering the Army, he moved seven times in ten years, and even jumped ten levels, and when he reached the left shilang of the Ministry of Works, he was already a member of the second product; and Dusi was only four products, and the difference was huge.
However, Zeng Guofan still knew taqibu as a person, and knew that this person was not only brave and martial, but also knew soldiers; when the Taiping Army attacked Changsha, Taqibu participated in the defense of the city and was promoted to guerrilla, and acting as a staff general of the Chinese army. In order to reuse Taqib, Zeng Guofan also impeached the original deputy general Qingde, and then protected Taqibu.
And Taqibu did not disappoint Zeng Guofan, and wholeheartedly assisted Zeng Guofan in training the Xiang army, and later fought to recover Xiangtan, and was promoted to viceroy by the rank of cross- and given the title of Katun Batulu (probably what a warrior). After that, Taqibu turned to Xiang'e, repeatedly serving as a military front, recovering Yuezhou, Wuchang, Tianjiazhen and other places, and was awarded the post of knight lieutenant, and besieged Jiujiang with various Qing troops. Unfortunately, because of the long-term attack on Jiujiang, he died of resentment and vomiting blood, and shi Chinese New Year's Eve jiu. He was given the title of Zhongwu( Dzoīng), and was later posthumously given the title of Third Class Lieutenant of Light Vehicles and entered the Zhaozhong Ancestral Hall.
Since it is said that it is one stone and two birds, Zeng Guofan's heavy tower Qibu certainly has another meaning; Zeng Guofan has been in the official field for many years, and the promotion speed is so fast, in addition to his outstanding personal ability, he naturally has his own set of official standards; although the Manchu Qing seemed to reuse Han Chen at that time, in fact, he was still very wary in private, if the Xiang army was full of Han people, it would inevitably be suppressed in the future, and perhaps after the success of the achievement, it would be "settled after the autumn."
But there are some things that cannot be arranged by the above to be done again, if they take the initiative to do it, the people above will certainly be more at ease; Taqibu this person is a Manchu, but also a yellow flag person, second only to the positive yellow flag in the full eight banners, and Taqibu has the ability, but the status is not high, if Zeng Guofan takes the initiative to promote and guarantee, Taqibu will naturally be loyal to Zeng Guofan; of course, this is only the "one stone and two birds" that can be seen by the shallow learning, as to whether there are other benefits, perhaps Zeng Guofan is more clear.
Zeng Guofan's life does not seem to be as beautiful as Li Hongzhang's, but under the details, it is definitely deeper than Li Hongzhang; Li Hongzhang looks like a scenery, but how many insults have he suffered behind him? And Zeng Guofan? Although it seems to fluctuate after giving up the military power, in the process of attacking the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, it is unknown how many benefits were gained, who knows whether Zeng Guoquan wantonly plundered wealth and had zeng Guofan's instructions? And these riches eventually arrived at the Zeng family. The imperial court also tracked it down, but the result was not resolved, which showed the terrible strategy of Zeng Guofan.
