On January 14, Suzhou Museum and Yusheng National Yutiangong (Suzhou) Digital Technology Co., Ltd. in Guangfu Town, Wuzhong District, designed and launched the 2022 Spring Festival Lunar New Year Auspicious Ruifu Elephant, which was deeply loved by the public, and 200 sets of products were snapped up in just one second after they were launched.
Although the elephant is huge and has amazing strength, it is easy-going, peaceful and dignified, and is the "virtuous and respected" among the beasts, and "elephant" and "xiang" are homophonous, which has many beautiful meanings in traditional culture. Many ancient bronzes have pictographic patterns on them, and there are many records of elephants in traditional Chinese culture.
This "mini version" of the jade carved white elephant prototype is the "White Jade Elephant" treasure of the Suzhou Museum. The work was produced during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, which was also the peak of China's ancient jade carving art. The work is carved from a whole piece of white jade, and the image is standing with a look to the right, and the body is fat. A child lying on his hips, wearing a gold hoop on his head, wearing short clothes and trousers, wearing boots on his feet, holding flowers in his right hand, holding a branch in his left hand, bending his left leg, and straightening his right leg, making an upward climbing posture, looking pleasant and full of strong breath of life.
This time, Suzhou Museum joined hands with Guangfu Town jade carving brand "Yu Shengyi", drew inspiration from the treasures in the collection, and was innovatively designed and supervised by Zhu Yufeng, a famous jade carving master in Suzhou, and carefully launched the "meng version" of jade carving white elephant. Different from the thick majesty of the "enlarged version" of the jade carving in the weekdays, the cute version of the white elephant is not only exquisite and small in appearance, but also cute, and the audience group is further expanded, which can also allow the intangible cultural heritage to "walk" into the homes of ordinary people.
As the first cultural enterprise above designated size introduced by Guangfu Town and the first Suzuo Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop in Wuzhong District, since its inception, YushengYiguo Yutiangong (Suzhou) Digital Technology Co., Ltd. has signed contracts with more than 60 jade carving-related enterprises based on the traditional intangible cultural heritage craft foundation of Guangfu Town, solving the employment problems of hundreds of craftsmen and injecting new vitality into the jade carving industry in Guangfu Town.
