Ruiguang Temple Pagoda, the second famous pagoda in the ancient city of Suzhou. The first tower in Suzhou is definitely the Tiger Hill Tower. The earliest pagoda of Ruiguang Temple can be traced back to the Eastern Wu Period, and the current structure of the pagoda is the original structure of the Song Dynasty. So, it's an ancient tower.
What makes Ruiguang Temple even more famous is the discovery of many precious artifacts in the brick niches in the center of its third-story pagoda, including Buddhist scriptures and some Statues of Buddha, the most precious of which is the Jewel Relic.
The Zhenzhu Relic Is the Treasure of the Suzhou Museum and one of the three cultural relics recommended by Su Bo in the "National Treasure" program. The excavated artifacts represented by the treasure building and the wooden letter are exhibited in a large exhibition hall of the museum. The treasure building and the wooden han are centered, and other excavated small Buddha statues are displayed in the surrounding display cases.
However, both the treasure house and the wooden letter are reproductions. The other small Buddha statues are authentic. The cultural relics are all from the fifth generation to the Song Dynasty, and should have been installed when the tower was rebuilt.
Usually, treasures are usually placed in the underground palace, such as Famen Temple. How is the treasure hidden in the pagoda of Ruiguang Temple placed on the third floor? Can anyone explain? Has the Ruiguang Temple Pagoda been surveyed, and is there a dungeon?
