The hospital reported to the Central Military Commission, and they could no longer save Deng Jiaxian's life and let the family prepare in advance. The Central Military Commission gave the opinion that Deng Jiaxian had spent his life in anonymity for the cause of the two bombs, and all aspects had made great sacrifices for this, and in the remaining years, he hoped that his contribution would be announced to the world.
On June 24, 1986, the front page of the People's Liberation Army Daily published a long report entitled "Two Bombs Fathers - Deng Jiaxian", which was subsequently broadcast by the Central People's Radio.
