As the two major heavyweight models in the local MPV market of Japanese brands, Honda STEP WGN and Toyota Noah have recently released new replacement models, of which Honda STEP WGN has this longer history, the first generation of models was born in 1996, and the current release is a new sixth-generation model.

The appearance of the new generation of models looks more like a return to the minimalist square box style of the first and second generation models. There are two versions of the front face of the new car, of which the headlight shape is the same, the difference is in the middle net and the front bar part, the ordinary version of the net size is very small, the front bar is very wide, it looks very simple.
The Sport version of the mid-mesh is larger in size and uses more chrome trim, with a more prominent spoiler shape at the bottom of the front bar and a transverse chrome trim.
The new car, especially the side styling, is completely a return to the design style of the first and second generation models, with a square silhouette, simple lines, and basically no sense of design to speak of. The roof is straight, the windows are straight, the waist line is straight, and several windows are also relatively square shapes. The handle of the sliding door is connected to the front door handle.
The tail shape is also obviously a tribute to the first and second generation models, the tail lights are also shaped with large vertical bars, the entire rear tailgate and rear windshield part are very vertical, and the tailgate opening is very large.
The Sport version is slightly more lively than the regular version after adding a roof tailgate rear bar spoiler shape and chrome trim.
In the interior part, the shape of the center console can obviously see the shadow of the new generation of Civic, especially the honeycomb-shaped air conditioner outlet, the three-frame steering wheel shape is very moving, and a large size suspension central control screen is configured. The overall workmanship materials and materials are significantly lower than those of the Odyssey.
The new car adopts a 7-seat layout of 2+2+3, although the size is not as good as Odyssey, but due to the boxy exterior shape, its internal space performance is not inferior to Odyssey. Although it is a home-oriented MPV, the second row of seats is equipped with a retractable leg rest function in addition to providing double armrests.
In the power part, the new car will be equipped with Honda's latest e:HEV hybrid system, which will have better fuel economy performance.
It is reported that the starting price of the new car is 2.983 million yen, about 166,000 yuan, compared with the starting price of 3.495 million yen, the positioning of the Odyssey is lower, mainly in the home MPV market.
