Tramway News: Recently, Xiaomi Group released an internal email saying that Yu Liguo was appointed as vice president of Xiaomi Automobile and political commissar of Xiaomi Automobile Beijing Headquarters, responsible for coordinating the comprehensive management of Xiaomi Automobile, the promotion of special business, and the organization and talent construction of Xiaomi Automobile Beijing Headquarters.

According to public information, Yu Liguo has successively served as the director of the strategic planning department of BAIC Group, a member of the party committee of BAIC BJEV, the executive deputy general manager of BAIC BJEV, and the chairman of Blue Valley Smart Energy Company and the president of ARCFOX Business Unit. In the second half of 2021, Yu Liguo joined Xiaomi.

Previously, on November 27, the signing ceremony between the Administrative Committee of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone and Xiaomi Technology was held, and with the signing of the "Cooperation Agreement" between the two sides, Xiaomi Automobile was officially announced to settle in Beijing Economic Development Zone. It is reported that the Xiaomi Automobile Project will build the Xiaomi Automobile Headquarters Base and sales headquarters and research and development headquarters, and will build a vehicle factory with an annual output of 300,000 vehicles in two phases, of which the first and second phases of production capacity are 150,000 vehicles, and it is expected that the first car will roll off the production line and achieve mass production in 2024.
