On January 17, Xiaomi Automobile announced that it will be appointed as the deputy general manager of Xiaomi Automobile and the political commissar of Xiaomi Beijing Branch. He will cooperate with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun in the comprehensive management, special business promotion, organization and talent training of Xiaomi's Beijing headquarters.
According to relevant introductions, Yu Liguo, Doctor of Engineering of Beijing Institute of Technology, has served as the director of the Strategic Planning Department of BAIC Group, the member of the Party Committee of BAIC BJEV, the executive deputy general manager of BAIC BJEV, and the chairman of Blue Valley Smart Energy Company and the president of ARCFOX Business Unit of Jihu. He has helped Blue Valley Smart Energy to carry out electric vehicle replacement power stations, power battery echelon utilization and other businesses. During his tenure at BAIC, he led the incubation of major projects such as the joint venture between BAIC BJEV and Didi Chuxing, and the establishment of the 1873 Davis Innovation Lab with Huawei.
According to public information, Yu Liguo, doctor of engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, has served as the director of the strategic planning department of BAIC Group, the member of the party committee of BAIC BJEV, the executive deputy general manager of BAIC BJEV, and the chairman of Blue Valley Smart Energy Company and the president of ARCFOX Business Unit. Industry experts said that Yu Liguo has rich experience and contacts in the automotive industry, especially in the brand building and operation of new energy vehicles.
On November 27, Beijing Yizhuang official news, beijing economic and technological development zone management committee and millet technology signing ceremony was held, with the signing of the "cooperation agreement" between the two sides, officially announced the millet car settled in Beijing economic development zone.
According to the agreement, the Xiaomi Automobile Project will build the Xiaomi Automobile Headquarters Base, sales headquarters and research and development headquarters, and will build a vehicle factory with an annual output of 300,000 vehicles in two phases, of which the production capacity of the first and second phases is 150,000 units, and the first car is expected to roll off the production line and achieve mass production in 2024. It is understood that the first Millet car will be priced between 100,000-300,000, positioned as a mid-to-high-end model.
