In the last month of 2021, Gaohe HiPhi X delivered 919 vehicles (the actual production has exceeded 1,000). This number may seem inconspicuous, but considering its price, it is already a very impressive number, surpassing the Porsche Taycan, Mercedes-Benz EQC, Hongqi E-HS9, Audi e-tron.
According to the general law of the market, such a trendy product as HiPhi X, at the beginning, only users with abundant funds and geek thinking will buy, and other users will remain on the sidelines. If the product is not strong, the peak of the possible sales will stay in the first wave of bookings.
Since the sales of HiPhi X can be rising steadily, it means that this car is not only a cool big toy, it has achieved a good reputation in the first wave of users, and it has begun to attract more people who were originally waiting.
After all, the car has to assume the responsibility of transportation, and reliability is the constant pursuit. The HiPhi X body structure is so complex and so feature-rich, how to ensure reliability? Recently, Huaren Express invited us to visit the shanghai operation center that has just been put into use, and shared some design and development experiences.
Regarding the structural safety of the body, HiPhi X adopts a steel-aluminum hybrid body-in-white design, and the AB columns are made of 1500MPa ultra-high-strength thermoformed steel, which reduces the weight while twisting the body by 25% compared with its peers. The spread wing door is locked tightly with the body when closed, and it is jointly subjected to the impact force when colliding, and it is not easy to cause relative displacement to be unable to open.
The electronically controlled door has a double redundant circuit, each front and rear have a set of power supplies, in extreme cases, the front and rear power supplies are failed, and there is a mechanical structure that can be opened. And this two-way open door in the case of vehicle rollover or four wheels facing the sky, can still ensure that a door can be opened to escape.
When rain is detected, the upper part of the door will not open. In heavy snow weather, the door is frozen, and the door comes with 50 kg of ice-breaking ability, which can be automatically opened.
HiPhi X is the world's first mass-produced vehicle equipped with six dual-redundant systems: sensory redundancy for predicting various risks; brake redundancy for brake systems; steering redundancy for direction control; signal redundancy for controlling vehicle movements; and power redundancy for power management, which is the most basic power management for intelligent vehicle control. When one system has a problem, the other system makes up for it instantly.
Of course, the use of new technologies and new equipment will be risky, and Gaohe is commendable for attaching great importance to safety and reliability, and also has the technical strength to land it. Of course, the price is not very affordable.
In terms of battery safety, in addition to the common structural protection, Gaohe can also monitor the battery status in real time in the cloud and remind the owner of the car in time if it is found abnormal. A friend was monitored by the system when dismantling HiPhi X, and the scene was once a bit embarrassing.
In addition to safety in unexpected situations, HiPhi X also values the physical health of its occupants. The use of phyto-tanned semi-aniline leather seats is free of heavy metal residues, and silicone leather materials have been developed to provide more options. The air conditioning filter element adopts HEPA filter element, and the filtration capacity exceeds N95.
In the era of new energy, we have seen too many cool PPT, but most of them still stay in PPT. Chinese Express appeared in a high-profile, high-end product, but really put many wonderful ideas on the ground. Most of their technical teams come from traditional car companies, although they are start-ups, but their business capabilities are quite sophisticated. Small bugs are inevitable at the beginning, but most of them can be solved by software upgrades.
Now that Gaohe's second model, HiPhi Z, has been released, I personally think it is even more sci-fi than HiPhi X. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the street, and I can already imagine the crowd it will provoke, of course, it would be better if it was me who drove me.
