Xiaopeng Automobile's total sales in 2021 exceeded 98,000 units, and its cumulative sales have exceeded 130,000 units. However, Xiaopeng Automobile currently has only more than 660 self-built charging piles, covering 228 cities. According to the charging network on Xiaopeng's official website, Xiaopeng has built about 1800 charging stations.
The lifeblood of new energy vehicles lies in the charging network, and with the increasing sales of new energy vehicles, the demand for charging piles has increased. If you abandon the third-party charging pile, it is extremely difficult to rely solely on the self-built charging station to meet the charging needs of your own vehicles.
Relying on its own power exchange system, NIO has built 780 substations across the country in just a few years ( including 205 highway substations ) , 613 supercharged piles , and 3454 supercharged piles.
Even Tesla, which has an earlier layout, has only passed 1,000 charging piles at present, and Tesla's annual sales in China have exceeded 300,000. "Going it alone" is still quite challenging for new energy vehicles with geometric sales growth.

The number of star charging piles has reached more than 600,000 (including private piles); the number of charging piles for small orange charging has reached more than 30,000.

According to SAIC's plan, 442,000 charging charges will be built in the future, covering 360 cities across the country, of which more than 100 charging stations will be included in the energy replenishment system of Zhiji Automobile.
Single-piece layout, car companies are still slower than pile companies. "Hugging" is still the optimal solution.
In April 2021, NIO signed a strategic agreement with Sinopec to jointly build 5,000 rechargeable power stations in the future. After that, Weilai went to Shell and other enterprises to sign an agreement to jointly build a power exchange network. Recently, WEILAI has signed high-speed network power exchange agreements with Anhui, Hebei and Zhejiang. As far as hugging the group for heating is concerned, Weilai is much better than Xiaopeng.
