Xiao He once said: "And the husband and son of heaven are home in all parts of the world, and they are not magnificent and have no weight, and there is no way for future generations to have Kaya." He felt that as a son of heaven, he must build his palace magnificently, which also provided a "theoretical basis" for the future emperors to build a large number of civil engineering. However, the first person to invent this theory may not be Xiao He, but Qin Shi Huang.
During the reign of Qin Shi Huang, it can be described as a model of "great construction", he mobilized hundreds of thousands of people to cast the Great Wall, build the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, repair the Chi Dao, excavate the Zheng Guo Canal, and build the Afang Palace. For example, the Sui Dynasty Emperor in the back, because he built a Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, made the people of the world unhappy, and finally died in the country. However, Qin Shi Huang carried out several "super projects" at the same time that were enough to impress the emperor, and during his reign, the enemy did not dare to "go south and herd horses", which can also be regarded as "an emperor of thousands of years".

However, there is one project that Qin Shi Huang has not completed, that is, Afang Palace.
Since the Qin state unified the world at that time, the Qin capital Xianyang became the most lively place in the world for a while, and many nobles of the Six Kingdoms who were destroyed were also brought to Xianyang by Qin Shi Huang. Xianyang itself was the capital of the "Qin State" as a princely state, but at this time it assumed the capital of the Qin Dynasty that unified the world, and for a while Xianyang was crowded with people, shoulder to shoulder, and some space was insufficient. Qin Shi Huang felt that his merits exceeded that of the Three Emperors and Five Emperors, and of course he could not tolerate his capital being so crowded!
So Qin Shi Huang waved a big hand, and in 212 BC, the construction of Afang Palace began. At that time, the Qin Dynasty specially mobilized craftsmen from all over the world to manufacture weapons and construction projects for themselves, at this time Qin Shi Huang issued an order to build a magnificent palace, so the imperial machine began to mobilize people and horses from all over the country to open up in the direction of Xianyang.
However, Qin Shi Huang, who was a man of great talent and swallowed mountains and rivers, may not have imagined that his palace would actually become the only "rotten tail project" in his life, because after 2 years, Qin Shi Huang died in the process of parade, and he was not yet 50 years old.
The next succeeding prince Hu Hai soon had no heart to continue to build this palace, on the one hand, he wanted to build something else, on the other hand, due to the cruelty and extravagance of the prince Hu Hai, the world immediately became a pot of porridge. At that time, the Qin Dynasty had no soldiers to suppress the uprisings in various places, and could only send Zhang Handan to bring some prisoners to fight. The construction of the palatial Afang Palace was "infinitely postponed" in this way.
So what will the Afang Palace look like after it is built?
The later Li Mu wrote in his "A Fang Gong Fu":
"Covered for more than three hundred miles, isolated day and day." Lishan mountain is structured in the north and turned west, going straight to Xianyang. The two rivers dissolve and flow into the palace wall. Five steps on the first floor, ten steps and one pavilion; the porch waist is back, the eaves are high and pecked; each holds the terrain and hooks and corners. Pan pan, pan, beehive whirlpool, I don't know how many tens of millions of fall! Long bridge lying wave, not cloud he long? Repeat the road to the void, not to Ji He Hong? High and low, do not know the west and east. The song stage is warm and the spring light is melting; the dance hall is cold sleeves, and the wind and rain are miserable. Within a day, between one house, and the climate is uneven. ”
All in all, Afang Palace is very large, so large that "within a day, between one palace, and the climate is different", it seems that it is not a palace, but an independent "small world" created by Qin Shi Huang.
Just when posterity thought that we would never find any traces of Afang Palace, in 2006, our experts discovered the ruins of Afang Palace in Shaanxi, shocking everyone at that time.
When the ruins of Afang Palace were first seen by experts, people were amazed by its "bigness", because the front hall of Afang Palace alone was 1270 meters apart between east and west, 426 meters between north and south, 7-9 meters high, and an area of about 880 acres (544,000 square meters, equivalent to the size of more than 90 standard football fields).
The Forbidden City as we know it is only 720,000 square meters!
This is just a ruins of Afang Palace that has not been completed, and it has reached the point where it can be compared with the area of the Forbidden City, and according to historical records, Afang was originally only the name of the front hall of the imperial palace, and Qin Shi Huang originally planned to "choose a name for it" after the completion of the entire imperial palace. It is conceivable that if the Afang Palace is completely built, its area will definitely surpass the Forbidden City to become the largest palace in China, but it is a pity that "the Chu people are torched and scorched"!
In 1991, in order to evaluate the cultural status and artistic value of Afang Palace, the relevant departments of the United Nations specially sent experts to investigate the site of Afang Palace, a "rotten project" with a history of more than 2,000 years, and the UN experts who came to such a large "site" for the first time were surprised one by one, and they screamed: "This is a miracle of the world!" They reckon that if the palace were built, it would be even more shocking!
But where would Qin Shi Huang, who built the imperial palace for himself, know that the great palace he was going to build would become a "rotten tail building"? He would not have known that after all the ages, his unfinished palace would be judged by a group of foreign experts as a relic. How would he feel about it if he knew about it?
precisely:
The Qin Emperor has been an ancient affair, and the Qin Palace is still in the present.
The ruins of the palace are still in the calendar, and the iron armor is long and miserable.
The Great Wall is uninhabited, and who inhabits the Wanli Palace?
Poor Emperor Of All Ages Dream, The Remains of the Relics are inhabited by outsiders!
