He did many feats in his lifetime, of which five major projects still exist today.
The first Great Wall, the Great Wall is a feat in the history of human beings in the world, although the Great Wall in modern society is no longer used as a tool to fight against the Xiongnu, but in modern society still has a strong ornamental tourism function, driving the economy of a place. The construction of the Great Wall, at that time, spent a lot of manpower, material and financial resources, Qin Shi Huang connected the Great Wall built scattered before the Western Zhou Dynasty, and finally achieved the Great Wall. Since then, in so many dynasties in China, almost every dynasty will repair it, and it can be said that the Great Wall has made an indelible contribution to the security of the Central Plains in China for thousands of years.
Second, the Twelve Bronze Men, during the Qin Shi Huang period, built the Afang Palace, and the Twelve Bronze Men stood in front of the palace as guardians. It is said that the Twelve Bronze Men were built because a commoner, Qin Shi Huang, reported seeing the Twelve Bronze Men, after which he complied with Providence. The source of the materials of these twelve bronze men was cast from the official collection of civilian weapons. Of course, this was also to consolidate his own rule, so all civilian weapons were confiscated.
Third, the Qin Straight Road, the use and purpose of this is not much different from the Great Wall, it is all for military service. This road continued to function as a transportation road during the Sui and Tang dynasties, and was not abandoned until the Qing Dynasty.
Fourth, the Lingqu, the Lingqu was an artificial canal ordered by Qin Shi Huang to be built between the Xiang River and the Li River, which at that time was mainly used as an industry for transportation. Of course, in that chaotic era at that time, the canal was also built for military purposes. Qin Shi Huang longed for the inheritance he had laid down to be passed on for generations, so he ordered the construction of many military projects. The man-made canal was inscribed on the World Heritage List of Irrigation Works in 2018. Until now, the spiritual canal is still playing a role in irrigation.
Fifth, Afang Palace, Afang Palace is a palace built for Qin Shi Huang, which is said to occupy a huge area and is extremely luxurious inside. At that time, it was conceived to become the political center of the Qin Dynasty, just like the Forbidden City of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the political center of the whole country at that time. Unfortunately, the Afang Palace was not yet fully built, and a large-scale uprising broke out in the Qin State, and later the Afang Palace was also burned clean.
Sixth, the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, each generation of emperors will build a mausoleum for themselves after they ascend to the throne, it can be said that the construction of the mausoleum is the emperor's first major event. Qin Shi Huang is no exception, his mausoleum was built for 39 years, is a generation of miracles in the history of the world, the history books record, there are a large number of palaces, the internal facilities are complete. It was inscribed on the World Heritage List as early as 1987. Only due to a large number of complex reasons, although the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang has been discovered, it is not ready to be excavated, and relevant archaeologists have revealed that they do not intend to excavate within a hundred years.
Seventh, the Terracotta Warriors, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses is one of the burials of Qin Shi Huang, and now some of them have been excavated, and it is said that the face of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses is vivid and the carving and construction skills are extremely superb. This is a group of figurines built to protect Qin Shi Huang. At the same time, the Terracotta Warriors are also one of the top ten heritage sites in the world.
