On January 28, 1142, Yue Fei was killed at Fengbo Pavilion, which is now the Xiaodong Bridge in Hangzhou. In 1163, Zhao Rui ascended the throne and mourned Yue Fei's grievances, Emperor Xiaozong posthumously honored Yue Fei and buried him with high-level etiquette, Yue Fei's body was buried under the Qixia Ridge in Hangzhou's West Lake, and the Yue Wang Temple was established, and there was no kneeling statue at this time.
In fact, in history, the statues of punishment began to be seen in front of this Yue family temple from the Ming Dynasty, and only three people knelt here at the earliest. Over the years, the worship and beating of tourists caused serious damage to the statue, and Fan Lai, the deputy envoy of Zhejiang, saw it and ordered people to make four to add Zhang Jun, and when Luo Ruyi was added, there were already 5 statues at this time. After a few decades, Li Wei, the governor of Zhejiang during the Yongzheng dynasty, saw that Luo Ruyi was also kneeling here, and he thought that Luo Ruyi was not qualified enough, and kicked him out, so we can only see the kneeling portraits of four people today.
