Why did the bronze man kneeling in front of Yue Fei's tomb stink for ten thousand years? How did their history end?

If you don't go to Yue Fei's tomb, you probably won't feel what is called "ten thousand years of stink" and what is called "people from the Song Dynasty to shame the name juniper, I went to the grave to be ashamed of my surname Qin". In 1983, Deng Xiaoping took his grandson and granddaughter to the Yuewang Temple for a tour, standing in front of the bronze statue surrounded by an iron fence, he pondered for a while, pulled his grandson and granddaughter in front of him, pointed to the statues of traitors in front of him, and said: "Heroes will always be commemorated by future generations, and bad people will always be spurned by future generations." "Yue Fei is a hero in the hearts and minds of generations of Chinese people, and those who killed him are not enough to extinguish the anger in people's hearts, and their images not only have to kneel in front of Yue Fei's tomb, but also be spurned by tourists for hundreds of years."

Why did the bronze man kneeling in front of Yue Fei's tomb stink for ten thousand years? How did their history end?

In the diary of the Japanese spy Toshiho Tsone, there was an incident recorded. During the Qing Dynasty, Zeng Gen Junhu came to Yue Fei's tomb accompanied by locals to visit, he knew Yue Fei's deeds very well, and prayed in front of Yue Fei's tomb:"

If you have a spirit, assist me to be loyal and revitalize Asia!

Later, he went out and saw four kneeling figures kneeling there. Zeng Gen Junhu did not have much interest, and wanted to leave after looking at it twice. The companion immediately stopped Zeng Gen Junhu and said to him, "Qin Juniper has harmed my grandfather-in-law and left a stink for ten thousand years." Whoever sees this thief and does not drown will be an unfaithful one. So Zeng Gen Junhu went into the countryside and prepared to soak urine on Qin Juniper's body, because he didn't have the intention to pee, he kicked Qin Juniper's head.

The small matter of Zeng Gen Junhu tells us that since ancient times, the statues of Qin Juniper and these people have been used by tourists to vent their anger, even if there are now fences surrounding these statues, tourists still have some "indecent" behavior, and there is still a "no spitting" sign hanging behind the statue. In this way, we can better understand, because beating "Qin Juniper" has become a customary custom, and from the Yuan Dynasty onwards, these statues are often damaged, wave after wave, and the number is not the same.

In 1475, Zhou Mu, the envoy of the Yuan Dynasty in Zhejiang, admired Yue Fei very much, and when he mentioned Qin Juniper, he was so angry that he was itching his teeth, and he always felt that it was too cheap for Qin Juniper to die so easily, so when repairing Yue Fei's tomb, he also asked people to cast a kneeling statue of Qin Juniper and his wife Wang Shi with iron, so that they would repent in front of Yue Fei's tomb forever.

In 1513, because the original iron statue was badly damaged, the newly appointed Zhejiang capital commanded Li Long to rebuild three bronze statues, namely Qin Ju and his wife and Wan Qianbi. Who is this man? After he was raised, he served as a prisoner in Hubei Province, attached himself to Qin Juniper, and was promoted step by step by the strength of Qin Juniper. In the case of Yue Fei's injustice, he was instructed by Qin Ju to frame Yue Fei for falsely reporting military information and staying in Huaixi for other trumped-up crimes, and Yue Fei was also one of the murderers when he was killed.

These three bronze statues had only been kneeling there for eighty years, and they were destroyed by the common people.

In 1594, when the new official of Zhejiang Province took office as the deputy envoy, he thought that the people had not been beaten by Qin Juniper, and he deeply regretted it, so he immediately built four bronze people and knelt down in front of Qin Jun, and this new person was Zhang Jun.

Zhang Jun was Yue Fei's old leader, and originally admired Yue Fei. But later, Yue Fei's military merits gradually increased, Zhang Jun became more and more jealous of him, especially his ZhangJiajun was often compared with Yue Fei's Yue Jiajun, naturally, in the hearts of the people, Yue Jiajun has become an unshakable banner. Zhang Jun's heart was very small, he couldn't accept that his subordinates were better than himself, plus he was very greedy for money, and he could easily be bribed, so when Qin Ju and others framed Yue Fei, he also took advantage of the situation. He was even more hateful than Qin Jun, because Yue Fei had been sincere to him, and when he found that Zhang Jun was cold to him, Yue Fei had also written a letter to ease the relationship between the two, but he did not expect to be killed by him in the end.

In 1590, the newly appointed governor of Zhejiang, Wang Ruxun, did a very strange thing, he threw the kneeling statue of Qin Juniper's wife Wang Shi into the West Lake, and moved the kneeling statues of Qin Juniper and Wan Qianbi to the Yue Fei Temple. Wang Ruxun said to the outside world that the Wang clan was not qualified to kneel in front of Yue Fei, but at that time, the people believed that Wang Ruxun and the Wang clan were the same sect, and did not want the kneeling of the surname Wang to be spurned by yue Fei in previous generations, so they threw the kneeling statue of the Wang clan into the lake. Wang Ruxun's clever approach immediately aroused the anger of the people, and the people attacked him en masse, frightening Wang Ruxun half to death, and immediately packed up his things and ran. Later, it was Ma Wei, a salt merchant in Zhejiang, who appeared himself and recast the kneeling statues of Zhang Jun and Ma Shi to calm the public anger.

In 1604, Fan Lai, the envoy of Zhejiang Province, recast the bronze statue at his own expense.

In 1608, just four years later, Fan Lai, the envoy of Zhejiang Province, saw that the copper man in front of Yue Fei's tomb had deteriorated and had paid for the rebuilding of 4 copper men.

At this time, Yue Fei's tomb was at least two people kneeling, Qin Juniper and his wife, and at most four people kneeling—Qin Jun's couple, Wan Qianbi, and Zhang Jun.

In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, someone added a new bronze figure to the four bronze statues, Luo Ruji. Luo Ruji is a man who is not well recorded in the history books, he is attached to Qin Ju, and he was also one of the accomplices when he falsely accused Yue Fei.

During the Yongzheng period, Li Wei, the governor of Zhejiang, also recast the bronze people, but did not cast Luo Ruji, so the number was restored to four.

This is the origin of the several copper people in front of Yue Fei's tomb, and these copper people have been spurned for generations. Some literati once lamented how innocent copper and iron were, and wanted to suffer for these people. In fact, in history, these five people all had a relatively good ending, and they did not suffer much sin when they died.

After Yue Fei was killed on the charge of "false accusations", Qin Ju continued to hang out in the official arena for several years, and even before his death, he framed Zhongliang. Qin Ju died of illness, and When Zhao Zhuo heard that he was no longer able to do so, he visited him, and after his death, he was made the King of Jiankang County, and his son was also made an official. As for the ending of the Wang family, looking at the ending of Qin Juniper's son, it is conceivable that the Wang family also enjoyed all the glory and wealth before he died.

Wan Qianbi died at the age of 75, and later he fought with Qin Juniper for power, but qin juniper was deposed, which was a frustrated life. Later, Qin Ju died, and he was recalled to continue to rise to the rank and make a fortune. It's just that he insisted on peace all his life and died in a name of infamy.

Luo Ruji also had a good life after Yue Fei's death, and after his death, he was given the title of Marquis of Xin'an County, but later his descendants included him in the "Tale of Adultery". In his later years, Zhang Jun was rich enough to be an enemy of the country, and he minted all the silver together, weighing one thousand taels, calling it "helpless", which means that thieves cannot take it away. He was at ease all his life, and it is said that he later invited Zhao Zhao to a meal, and the dishes went back and forth hundreds of times. After Zhang Jun died, Zhao Zhuo also personally sent a funeral.

Seeing that these people were living so well, thinking of Yue Fei's untimely death, I could understand why everyone was angry at these kneeling statues.
