On April 16, 2021, the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center led by Weichai Power was inaugurated. At the same time, the Ministry of Science and Technology and Shandong Province signed a framework agreement on the "Hydrogen into Ten Thousand Homes" science and technology demonstration project to explore the Qilu model of the hydrogen energy industry. More than 8 months after its birth, what kind of answer did the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center hand over in promoting the implementation of the "Hydrogen into Ten Thousand Homes" project? On the morning of January 8, Weichai Power's world's first ontology thermal efficiency 51.09% diesel engine and the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center and the "Hydrogen into Ten Thousand Homes" Science and Technology Demonstration Project Operation Symposium held in Jinan gave the answer.
It is understood that since the implementation of the "Hydrogen into Ten Thousand Homes" science and technology demonstration project, the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center has established an innovation synergy with Weichai Power as the core and joint research by enterprises, universities and research institutes to accelerate the breakthrough of technical bottlenecks and the landing of industrialization in the industrial chain. At present, the construction of the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center and the "Hydrogen into Ten Thousand Homes" science and technology demonstration project are progressing smoothly and have achieved phased results.
Tan Xuguang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Chairman of Weichai Power, and Director of the Academic Committee of the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center, introduced that the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center has developed a series of 15-200kW hydrogen fuel cell engines, of which 200kW fuel cell engines participated in the national "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" scientific and technological innovation achievement exhibition in October 2021. The first fuel cell fleet environmental adaptability test under extremely cold conditions, a successful start at -34 °C, the first to achieve a product life of 30,000 hours, leading the process of Fuel Cell industrialization in China.
Based on highly reliable fuel cell products, the innovation center has carried out multi-scenario application demonstration work.
In terms of hydrogen energy park, the first high-power containerized hydrogen fuel cell combined heat and power system and the first 30kW solid-state oxide fuel cell combined heat and power supply system have been developed and put into operation in Weifang; the first 3-ton hydrogen fuel cell forklift truck in China has been developed to create a zero-carbon logistics and handling environment.
In terms of hydrogen energy ports, on December 29, 2021, the first hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck demonstration operation project in the national port supporting Weichai products was launched in Qingdao Port, and the first 80-passenger hydrogen fuel cell passenger ship in China was successfully launched in Laiwu Xueye Lake in Jinan to achieve zero-carbon emission shipping.
In terms of hydrogen energy high-speed, the country's first highway hydrogen refueling station was put into operation in Zibo, and the 49-ton fuel cell heavy truck supporting Weichai products ran for more than 5,000 kilometers on the route from Jinan Taigang to Qingdao Dongjiakou Port District. On October 27, 2021, China National Heavy Duty Truck Yellow River Snow Wax Vehicle equipped with Weichai's high-power hydrogen fuel cell engine was officially delivered to the Winter Olympics, achieving "China's first, world's leading and completely domestically produced".
At the scene, Shandong Heavy Industry Group delivered the first batch of Sinotruk hydrogen fuel heavy-duty tractors to Shandong Port Group, supporting Weichai's high-power hydrogen fuel cell system, which has the characteristics of strong power, green environmental protection, safety and reliability, high efficiency and full attendance. According to reports, this marks the first time that hydrogen fuel heavy tractors have gone to commercial operation in China.
