Liu Bei's regret, the generation of descendants is not as good as a generation, and finally the grandson killed the grandson

In the third year of Zhang Wu (223 AD), Liu Bei, the Emperor of Han Zhaolie, died of illness in the White Emperor's City at the age of sixty-three. Liu Bei knew that people treated people with perseverance, and in the end, although he did not achieve the goal of revitalizing the Han Dynasty and unifying the world, he was one of the three worlds and was also a successful person. Coupled with liu bei's reputation for benevolence and righteousness, Chen Shou gave Liu Bei a high evaluation in the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms": Hongyi is generous. But to say that Liu Bei's biggest regret is probably the issue of heirs, and his descendants are not as good as a generation. In the end, the "dry grandson" also killed the grandson, what is going on? Let's take it slow.

Liu Bei began to participate in the crusade against the Yellow Turban Army, and his life of conquest was very difficult. At that time, the war was very cruel, and Liu Bei was considered to have died nine times, but his family was not so lucky. Liu Bei married and had children early, and his family was also displaced with the turmoil.

The first time liu bei's family was recorded in the history books was when Liu Bei was unfortunately captured when he was attacked by Lü Bu. In the first year of Jian'an (196), Cao Cao's cousin Liu Bei was made the general of Zhendong and the Marquis of Yicheng Ting. Yuan Shu led a large army to attack Xuzhou, Liu Bei attacked, and the two armies held each other at Xuyi and Huaiyin. At this time, Lü Bu sneaked up on Xia Pi and captured Liu Bei's wife and children. Soon, Liu Bei and Lü Bu reconciled, and Lü Bu also returned Liu Bei's family. Later, the two turned against each other again, and Liu Bei's family once again became Lü Bu's prisoners. At this time, Cao Cao personally led the army to attack Lü Bu with all his troops, and finally killed Lü Bu and rescued Liu Bei's family.

At this time, Cao Cao and Liu Bei entered the honeymoon period, and the two went out in the same car and sat at the same table, and the relationship was like wearing a pair of pants. However, the two naturally belong to different camps, how can the friendship last? In the fourth year of Jian'an (199), Liu Bei and the che general Dong Jie plotted against Cao Cao. A few months later, Liu Bei participated in the "YiDai Edict" incident, Liu Bei simply occupied Xuzhou and Cao Cao fought a battle, did not fight the cao boss who had many soldiers, and finally fled in a hurry. But his family was not so lucky, and his wife, children, and Guan Yu were all imprisoned by Boss Cao.

At that time, Cao Cao fought with Yuan Shao, and Liu Bei defected to Yuan Shao. Later, after Guan Yu beheaded Yuan Shao's general Yan Liang, he learned that Liu Bei was at Yuan Shao's place, so he abandoned Cao Cao to find Liu Bei. However, Liu Bei's wife and children, Guan Yu, could not bring out. Their ending is also not recorded in the history books. But from the situation at that time, it is speculated that Liu Bei's wife and children can only have one ending: they are killed by Cao Cao.

Later, Liu Bei defected to Liu Biao in Jingzhou, remarried his wife, and gave birth to a son, which was Ah Dou Liu Chan. At this time, Liu Bei was already 46 years old. Regarding Liu Chan, we don't need to say much, we are all familiar with it. Its human ability is only a middle and lower asset, and there is no great ambition. But he was a blessed person, who served in the world of Shu Han for forty years, and after the demise of Shu Han, he was ridiculed for "not thinking about Shu", but he also enjoyed his old age in peace.

Liu Chan had many sons and many blessings, and the history books such as the Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms, the Chronicle of huayang Guozhi, and the Spring and Autumn of the Han Dynasty mentioned that his descendants had more than fifty princes and marquises, but none of them had names, but they just passed by.

Liu Chan had seven sons: Liu Xuan, Liu Yao, Liu Zhen, Liu Zhen, Liu Chen, Liu Ke, and Liu Qian. Among them, the eldest son Liu Xuan committed rebellion in Chengdu after the death of Shu Han, and was killed by rebels; the third son Liu Chen fell ill and died; the fifth son Liu Chen had a strong temperament and committed suicide on the day of the fall of Shu Han; and the other sons all surrendered to the Jin Dynasty with Liu Chan.

Liu Bei's regret, the generation of descendants is not as good as a generation, and finally the grandson killed the grandson

In 271 AD, Liu Chan died after serving as the Duke of Anle for eight years. His descendants still lived in Luoyang, the capital of the Western Jin Dynasty, and lived a life without worry about food and clothing. Until the Yongjia Rebellion, that is, in the fifth year of the Western Jin Dynasty Emperor Yongjia (311), the Xiongnu army, led by Liu Yuan's son Liu Cong, defeated the defenders of Luoyang, the capital of the Western Jin Dynasty, captured Luoyang and plundered and killed, and the rest of Liu Chan's children and grandsons died in this chaos and unfortunately died on the same day.

But if we look at the main line of history, it is not difficult to find that the death of Liu Chan's descendants was actually a premeditated massacre by the Xiongnu. Why? Because later when the Xiongnu became emperor, they announced that they would inherit Liu Bei's mantle, and since they wanted to be Liu Bei's heirs, then liu Bei's true descendants certainly could not survive in the world, and this was the truth that they died on the same day. Therefore, people jokingly call this historical event "Liu Bei's grandson killed his own grandson"
