Two cases in Anyang, Henan Province, were infected with Aomi Kerong, which is in the same chain of transmission as the local epidemic in Tianjin

On January 8, 2022, Anyang City found 2 cases of positive nucleic acid of the new coronavirus in the active test population. On January 9, the whole genome of the virus was sequenced by the laboratory of the Henan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, showing that the two local cases infected with the virus were all BA.1 branches of the Aomi Kerong variant, and after analysis and comparison, they belonged to the same transmission chain as the existing local epidemic situation in Jinnan District, Tianjin. Combined with the results of epidemiological investigation and gene sequencing, the source of infection of this epidemic in Anyang City was basically identified as a college student who returned to Tangyin County of Anyang City from Jinnan District of Tianjin City on December 28, 2021.

In order to strictly prevent the spread of the Aomi Kerong mutant strain and protect the health of the citizens of Anyang, we hereby remind the general public friends:

I. Please report immediately to the following personnel: Since December 25, 2021, there are people who have returned to Safety in Medium and High Risk Areas such as Jinnan District and Nankai District of Tianjin City and who have intersected with the whereabouts of confirmed cases or asymptomatic infected persons in our city, please report immediately to the village (community) where they are located, actively cooperate with relevant departments such as disease control and public security to carry out epidemiological investigations and close contact personnel tracking and investigation, and implement various epidemic prevention and control measures such as isolation and control, nucleic acid screening and health monitoring.

Second, do a good job of personal protection: the infection of the Olmikron variant is more contagious and more transmitted than the Delta variant. It is necessary to maintain a good sense of personal protection at all times, develop the hygiene habits of carrying masks, scientifically standardizing the wearing of masks (especially when taking public transportation and activities in public places), washing hands frequently, ventilating frequently, maintaining safe social distancing, not getting together, not gathering, and advocating a healthy lifestyle.

Third, do a good job of health monitoring: if there is fever, fatigue, cough, diarrhea and other suspicious symptoms, to go to the nearest hospital fever clinic in time, do a good job of personal protection on the way, do not take public transportation, please take the initiative to inform the doctor of travel history and contact history in detail when visiting the doctor, so as to facilitate timely investigation.

Fourth, do a good job of vaccination: vaccination against the new crown virus is currently the most effective means to prevent new crown virus infection. Citizens who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19, have not completed all vaccinations or have not been vaccinated with boosters should take the initiative to go to the nearest vaccination site to jointly build a national immunization barrier.

V. Participate in nucleic acid testing: In order to thoroughly check the potential population infection, the city is currently conducting nucleic acid testing for all employees, inviting citizens and friends to actively participate in the nucleic acid testing of all staff in our city, cooperate with the sample collection work, do a good job in personal protection during the sampling period, wear masks throughout the process, take the initiative to accept body temperature detection, and maintain a distance of more than one meter, avoid gathering and talking to each other, and effectively prevent cross-infection during sampling.
