In early spring, there is still solid ice and a bitter wind. Home still needs to be warmed by the stove, and walking outdoors still can't get rid of the clumsiness of cotton clothes. Even if the weather is sunny, the warmth of the sun is only at noon, and the cold in the morning and evening can still be described as "bitter cold". In the countryside, early cooking needs to break the ice to get water, the streets are cold and deserted, spring ploughing is still impossible to talk about, the villagers still live a "hibernating" day, and warm hope seems to stay in the dream.
The trees were still asleep, the branches were whistling in the wind; the land was not awake, and the wheat seedlings were lying on their stomachs in the fields; the grass had not yet shown any sign of breaking the ground. The nest on the beam is still empty, the birds under the eaves are still curled up, and occasionally fly down to the courtyard or outside the door to forage for food, so there is a time for children to catch birds, and the original meaning of "Menkolo finches" may originate from this.
