Today (January 11) afternoon, Tianjin held a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic (the 165th) to inform that the first round of nucleic acid screening of all staff since 7 o'clock on January 9 has sampled a total of 11.9123 million people, 7.8926 million people have been found, 77 cases have been detected positive, and the relevant testing work is underway. As of 12:00 today, a total of 97 cases of positive COVID-19 infection have been reported.

Han Jinyan, deputy director of the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission, informed at the press conference that of all 97 cases of positive new crown pneumonia virus infection, including 49 local confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia, 15 cases of local asymptomatic infection of new crown virus, and the other 33 cases of initial positive infection are to be notified after further verification by the clinical expert group.

Previously, the initial reported positive infections in Tianjin were concentrated in Jinnan District. At present, all infected people include 90 cases in Jinnan District, 3 cases in Xiqing District, 3 cases in Hexi District, and 1 case in Binhai New Area. Currently the patient is up to 74 years old and the youngest is 5 years old.

In this round of epidemic, Tianjin Municipality first reported 2 people at noon on January 8 that the nucleic acid results of the new coronavirus were positive. According to Han Jinyan, the analysis of the epidemiological investigation data of the existing 80 cases of new coronavirus infection shows that the indicator cases became ill on December 29, and the initial sporadic state was sporadic, and the number of patients increased rapidly since January 6, and there are currently 6 cases of family gathering and transmission.
