Yao Kegui's ability to work was completely fine, and where Yu Zhiqi allowed him to resign, this matter was still settled on the spot. Yao Kegui did not say much more, after all, the first priority of a soldier is to obey the party's arrangements. At this time, Yao Kegui did not know that he was about to start a great friendship with General Han Xianchu for twenty years.
One or two desperate three langs at work
In the winter of 1966, Yao Kegui was officially assigned to Han Xianchu's side and became his secretary. Yao Kegui had already met Han Xianchu at the party committee of the military region before, and his impression of Han Xianchu was that although he had a certain age, his speech was always very loud, and his waist was always straight.
When Yao Kegui really saw Han Xianchu and got along with Han Xianchu, he found that his feelings were completely correct. Han Xianchu is a person who is consistent in appearance, and he seems to have the strength to never finish.
At that time, the country had just started, and Fujian was also in a state of waste waiting to be rebuilt. Han Xianchu not only had to do war preparations, but also changed the overall social outlook of Fujian, engaged in economic construction, promoted social development, and enabled the people to live a good life.
From the height of the building to the ground, Han Xianchu paid great attention to personally visiting the grassroots, and for him, only by understanding the situation at the lowest level could he better serve the people. So he got up at 5 o'clock almost every morning, and half an hour later he went out to inspect, chat with the local people, inspect the local area, and hold meetings and discussions with the relevant responsible persons. In addition, the military district unit has a lot to deal with.
All this work is done, and it is basically 12 o'clock in the evening. In the years that Han Xianchu worked by his side, Yao Kegui alone drafted more than 200 manuscripts, more than 1 million words, of which only 15 manuscripts were drafted by Yao Kegui and others, and the rest were written by Yao Kegui. After work, Han Xianchu also likes to read Yao Kegui's manuscripts, which allow him to better sort out his own thinking and remember many important points that he has forgotten.
In the era of lack of mobile phones and computers, these words needed to be sketched down by Yao Kegui and then sorted out. It can be said that the degree of Yao Kegui's desperation is comparable to that of Han Xianchu.
2. Colleagues, comrades-in-arms, confidants, and family members
In 1973, Han Xianchu was sent to the Lanzhou Military Region as a commander, and Yao Kegui was also transferred to the Lanzhou Military Region with Han Xianchu. This year, Han Xianchu was already sixty years old, and he had left many diseases on the battlefield before, but he had not been properly cultivated in these years, and his body was already much worse than before.
However, when he was in the Lanzhou Military Region to grasp the work of combat readiness training, he still did everything himself. Whether it was a large-scale survey of terrain or running troops, Han Xianchu had always been obligated. During his six years in the Lanzhou Military Region, he directly followed the troops thirteen times to survey the terrain, and the border defenses in Shaanxi, Gansu, and other places were all run by him.
Yao Kegui looked at him holding his sick body, still enduring the pain to complete his work, and his admiration for him was spontaneous, and the country would prosper and be strong precisely because of a general like Han Xianchu. Therefore, in the years that Yao Kegui followed Han Xianchu to run the troops, he never shouted a word of tiredness.
When Han Xianchu ran the troops, he would focus on the officers and men at the grass-roots level, and would even use the method of individual conversations to quickly understand the situation of the troops, so that the problems existing in the troops could be solved more quickly. Moreover, he loved the soldiers very much, he did not care about the size of the unit, as long as he had time, he would definitely meet them, and often went to the family home to greet the families of the soldiers.
This excellent quality of his was not only reflected in the soldiers, but also in Yao Kegui. In order to work, Yao Kegui sacrificed a lot of time to accompany his family and has been closely following Han Xianchu's side. When Yao Kegui's child was born, Yao Kegui was still working hard in the military region. Until the child was one year old, Yao Kegui had not seen him.
When Han Xianchu heard this, he directly patted his head, blaming himself for being so negligent that he had occupied so much of Yao Kegui's time. So Han Xianchu immediately sent someone to Yao Kegui's house, asked his wife to pack her bags, and took them to the military region.
Yao Kegui returned to the residence, opened the door and saw his wife and children, old and young, not surprising, not unmoved. He wrote in his recollection:
"General Han Xianchu really taught me too many ways to deal with people, and his own kindness to me is hard for me to forget in this life." When I saw my son, who had just turned one year old, appear in front of me, I thought that as long as the general liked me, I would become the secretary of General Han Xianchu for life. ”
Han Xianchu naturally admired Yao Kegui and was willing to use Yao Kegui as a secretary for a lifetime. The two were colleagues, comrades-in-arms, confidants, and family members, but fate did not give these two confidants and comrades much time.
Third, in the face of danger, he "entrusted the orphans" and wrote letters to Yu Qiuli and Yang Dezhi
After 1983, because of physical reasons, Han Xianchu basically stopped working on the front line. Time is also empty, no longer as before, with his head tied to the waistband of his pants, and his life is at work. At this time, Yao Kegui also has a little space and time to spend with his family.
Han Xianchu planted his own vegetables without any trouble, and after picking fresh vegetables, Han Xianchu called Yao Kegui to bring them to his wife, and the vegetables he grew at home were comfortable to eat. At that time, Yao Kegui was thinking that in fact, to be able to live so peacefully and without incident was a great gift of fate!
But not long after, Han Xianchu was admitted to a nursing home in Wuhan because of his physical illness. Yao Kegui has also been following Han Xianchu's side to take care of him at this time, and if Han Xianchu has any needs, he is always on call.
Until 1986, near the Spring Festival, Han Xianchu suddenly made a phone call to Yao Kegui, asking Yao Kegui to come to his home for the Spring Festival. At this time, Han Xianchu was already 73 years old, and Yao Kegui vaguely felt that something was wrong, so he immediately packed up a few pieces of luggage and rushed to Han Xianchu's home.
At that time, it happened to coincide with Han Xianchu's birthday on February 2, and Yao Kegui went to order a huge cake for Han Xianchu a day in advance, and he vaguely sensed in his heart that this might be the last Spring Festival that accompanied him to the commander.
At Han Xianchu's birthday party, Yao Kegui took turns drinking for Han Xianchu, at this time, his heart faintly flooded with some sourness, working together for twenty years, after all, it was impossible to reach the end of the years. Life and death are really uncomfortable!
In the evening, Han Xianchu came to Yao Kegui with a trembling cane, and his tone was also sincere:
"You have been with me all these years, and you have also delayed you!" You could have had a better career path, alas! ”
Yao Kegui has begun to tear up his eyes:
"Don't say that, how can it be a delay to follow you?" This is obviously my great luck! ”
Han Xianchu smiled lowly all his life, the two had been together for many years, they understood each other's thoughts, and the speech was over. Han Xianchu beckoned to Yao Kegui and said:
"Let's go out for a walk."
Yao Kegui carried Han Xianchu out of the door, Han Xianchu was not in good health, and he did not walk fast, the two walked along the path, Han Xianchu began to feel that he was "mistaken" for Yao Kegui for life, and his tone was once again with guilt:
"I'm old now, and I'm sick, and I can't delay you any longer!"
Yao Kegui looked at the path the two of them walked when they came, although they walked slower, but this look back was also a long, long way. He said:
"The general should stop saying this, I am with you, I have learned too much, between the two of us, there is no delay."
Rao is Yao Kegui repeatedly stressed that there was no delay, but after Han Xianchu returned, he was still uneasy, he sat on the desk, personally wrote a letter to Yu Qiuli and Yang Dezhi, in which he gave an important affirmation to Yao Kegui's twenty years of work, and hoped that after he left, he could arrange a proper job for Yao Kegui, not to live up to his talent, and quite a taste of "White Emperor City Trust".
It was after these two letters were written that Han Xianchu felt that the big stone in his heart had been put down. In October, Han Xianchu passed away for a long time, and Yao Kegui was in great pain when he heard the sad news. This best friend of his passed away forever. Later, when he heard that Han Xianchu was critically ill, he did not forget to understand his future work arrangements, and his heart was even more sad.
