Yang Kaihui was Chairman Mao's second wife, who was brutally killed by the Kuomintang reactionaries in 1930, and after the news reached Ruijin, Chairman Mao was very sad and said bitterly, "Kaihui's death is irreparable!" In 1913, Chairman Mao was admitted to the Hunan Provincial First Normal School, at this time Yang Changji was working as an ethics teacher in this school, and Chairman Mao became a student of Yang Changji.
And Yang Changji is also very fond of this student, when encountering problems that he does not understand, Chairman Mao always comes to the door for advice at the first time, and in this way, Chairman Mao has become a frequent visitor to the Yang family.
In the Yang family, Chairman Mao and Yang Changji discussed the world's major events, and there was a lot of discussion about the way of governing learning, the road to saving the country, the philosophy of life, the code of conduct, etc. When the atmosphere was warm, the teachers and students seemed to forget each other's identities, and the feeling of being unrestrained made both of them very comfortable, and the two did not get along like teachers and students, but like close friends.
Because Chairman Mao often visited the door, he was also very familiar with Yang Kaihui, and Chairman Mao's farsightedness, passionate and bold words, lofty and lofty ideals, etc. all made the talented woman Yang Kaihui fall in love with her and deeply touched her.
In the summer of 1918, Yang Kaihui's family moved to Beijing. During his days in Beijing, Yang Kaihui had been worried about Chairman Mao, and soon after, Yang Changji wrote to Chairman Mao and introduced him to work in the Library of Peking University.
In August 1918, Chairman Mao came to Beijing and was reunited in a different place, which made Chairman Mao and Yang Kaihui very happy, during this time in Beijing, Chairman Mao and Yang Kaihui had more contact, with the help of Chairman Mao, Yang Kaihui read a lot of revolutionary books and periodicals, learned a lot about new ideas, and also came into contact with many revolutionary youth.
In April 1919, Chairman Mao left Beijing to return to Changsha Xiuye Primary School in Hunan Province to teach, and the two often exchanged letters and expressed their deep love.

Because Yang Kaihui experienced the May Fourth Movement in Beijing, coupled with the teachings and influence of Yang Changji and Chairman Mao, she accepted the new trend of thought very early, and during her time in Hunan, Yang Kaihui also published articles such as "Attacking the Root Causes of Inequality" in newspapers, with sharp writing, direct words to the point, and fiercely attacking feudal etiquette and feudal ideas.
In the autumn of 1921, Yang Kaihui joined the Communist Party of China and became a member of the Communist Party and one of the earliest female members of our Party.
Soon after, in order to cover Chairman Mao's activities, Yang Kaihui resigned from his job as a teacher at Yueyun Middle School, and in the difficult environment of struggle, Yang Kaihui took on the work of party and government organs and liaison in Xiang District, tirelessly running between various contact points to convey party documents and Chairman Mao's instructions.
Even so, Yang Kaihui did not shout a word of tiredness, running around during the day, and at night she would find time to go to night school to give lectures, just so that she could mobilize more of the working class.
On October 24, 1922, Yang Kaihui gave birth to his first son, Mao Anying, and a year later Mao Anqing was also born, and in 1925, Chairman Mao and Yang Kaihui returned to Shaoshan with their two sons and established one of the earliest party branches in rural China, the Shaoshan branch of the Communist Party of China in Hunan.
On April 4, 1927, their third son Mao Anlong was born, and not long after the defeat of the Great Revolution, the White Terror struck all over the country, and Yang Kaihui followed the instructions of the party and returned to Bancang with his children to carry out underground struggles.
Because of the loss of contact with the higher-level organizations, Yang Kaihui had to work alone, she participated in the organization and leadership of the underground armed struggle on the borders of Changsha, Pingjiang, and Xiangyin, and did her best to develop the party organization, which lasted for three years.
On October 24, 1930, Yang Kaihui was arrested after being discovered by the enemy's secret agents, and in the following ten days, the Qingxiang Headquarters interrogated Yang Kaihui 5 times, forcing her to hand over the list of underground party organization personnel and Chairman Mao's contact and correspondence address, etc. She was not afraid, the enemy used torture, using leather whips, wooden sticks, bamboo sticks, sticks and other means to force her to submit, Yang Kaihui responded to the enemy with only three words :"I don't know!" ”
In desperation, the enemy came up with a new trick, they took Yang Kaihui to a house, only to see a few reporters sitting inside, the enemy tricked her into saying that as long as she published a statement in the newspaper and broke away from the husband and wife relationship with Chairman Mao, she could immediately gain freedom, and everyone present could witness it for her.
However, Yang Kaihui righteously said that he wanted me to disassociate myself from Chairman Mao, unless the sea withered and the rocks rotted, and I was not sorry to die, and I hoped that the runzhi revolution would succeed at an early date! The enemy had long since lost patience after days of fruitless interrogation, and seeing that she was so determined to be revolutionary, the enemy was determined to execute her.
At 1:00 p.m. on November 14, 1930, Yang Kaihui was only 29 years old at the Literacy Ridge Execution Ground outside Liuyang Gate in Changsha.
The executioner Shuai Baoyun took up the shell gun and fired two shots at Yang Kaihui's back, Yang Kaihui was knocked to the ground, Shuai Baoyun then put the gun in his waist and turned away, Luo Guolin and Yao Chuzhong loosened the rope for Yang Kaihui's body and left with the large army.
When the execution team was eating, a guard came to report to Yan Guowu that the executed woman was not dead, and Yan Guowu immediately ordered Yao Chuzhong to go and mend the gun.
After Yao Chuzhong came to the Literacy Ridge, he only saw Yang Kaihui creeping on the barren grass, there was a large pool of blood on the ground, Yang Kaihui still had a trace of breath, the blood kept flowing out of her body, the ground was grabbed by Yang Kaihui's two hands out of two large pits, Yao Chuzhong saw the situation without the slightest sympathy, picked up his shell gun and fired three shots in a row at Yang Kaihui's back, Yang Kaihui had no voice...
In the following years, Yao Chuzhong was afraid that his affairs would be found out, so he was very low-key, and after the founding of the country, Yao Chuzhong did not dare to come out and show his face, and in the case of his deliberate concealment, the locals only knew that he had been a Kuomintang soldier, and later ran back as a deserter, unaware of the crimes he committed.
Later, when Yao Chuzhong was transforming the farm, he didn't know how to think about it, and actually confessed this matter, if it wasn't for Yao Chuzhong himself standing up and admitting it, he was afraid that this history would still be hidden in his belly.
In February 1957, Yang Kaihui's friend Li Shuyi wrote a letter to Chairman Mao, copying Chairman Mao's "Yu Meiren Pillow" (given to Yang Kaihui) written by Chairman Mao in 1920, and Li Shuyi's letter aroused Chairman Mao's longing for Yang Kaihui, and the emotions in his heart that were difficult to calm down rose again.

The song "Butterfly Loves Flowers" expresses Chairman Mao's deep love for Yang Kaihui, and also allows the eternal love between them to be sung.
In the 1980s, when the relevant departments were repairing Yang Kaihui's former residence, they found seven manuscripts in the brick cracks in the back wall of Yang Kaihui's bedroom, all of which were written by Yang Kaihui between October 1928 and June 1926, in addition to two letters that had not been sent out in time, written to her cousin Yang Kaiming.
This letter is more like a will, so why did Yang Kaihui write such a letter to his cousin? On February 12, 1929, Zhu Laozong's wife Wu Ruolan was captured by the enemy and then killed, and the enemy's evil deeds made Yang Kaihui feel the same.
Because of her identity, Yang Kaihui knew that if she was caught, then the fate would be the same as Wu Ruolan, so she had to be ready for arrest at all times, and secondly, she wanted to tell Chairman Mao of her situation through Yang Kaiming.
In the manuscripts found, there are descriptions of her relationship with Chairman Mao, and the self-description says that the seventeen or eighteen-year-old was exactly when she and Chairman Mao made love and fell in love in 1918, and the description in the self-statement is as follows:
I was about seventeen or eighteen years old, and I began to have my own opinion on marriage, I was against all ceremonial marriages, and I thought there was a heart to court... However, I seem to be born like this, can not change, with a sentence can show my attitude out: "Incomplete is better than nothing!" ”

But I never expected to marry him, because I didn't want the passive love of others, and although I loved him, I never meant that I believed that the authority of love was in the hands of nature. Ever since I fully understood what he meant to me, I had a new consciousness since then that I felt that I was born for him in addition to being born for my mother. I imagined that if one day he died and my mother was gone, I would have to follow him to death. If he is caught and killed, I must share this fate with him...! ”
