Founding Major General Wang Minggui: Put his arm around Kim Il Sung's neck and call him a brother, but the other party also gave him two truckloads of apples

In 1953,

Kim il sung

As the first foreign head of state to visit Beijing, Premier Zhou personally accompanied him.

Wang Minggui

The general organized an honor guard to greet him at the airport, and after the ceremony, Wang Minggui suddenly stepped forward and put his arm around Kim Il Sung's neck and said:

"Old Kim, I want to die."

It turned out that Wang Myung-gyu and Kim Il-sung had worked together in the 88th Brigade of the Northeast Anti-Japanese League, when Kim Il-sung was a battalion commander, he was the commander of the third battalion, and the two became good brothers and good comrades-in-arms in battle.

Afterwards, Premier Zhou seriously criticized Wang Minggui, saying that Kim Il Sung was no longer the battalion commander of the year, but the head of state, and he should pay attention to etiquette.

However, Kim Il Sung did not forget his old feelings, and after returning to China, he specially sent two wagons of apples to Wang Minggui, and Wang Minggui gave all of them to the troops.

Being able to call Kim Il-sung a brother shows that General Wang Minggui is also very powerful.

Wang Minggui, born in 1910 in a poor family in Panshi County, Jilin Province, left home at the age of 20 to work at the Gejinhe Gold Mine in Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province, hoping to change the fate of poverty, but in the face of cruel exploitation and oppression, he realized that there is no home without a country, let alone human rights, so he resolutely threw himself into the revolution.

In 1934, Wang Minggui joined the Northeast People's Revolutionary Army, and the commander of the army was the famous General Yang Jingyu. Because of his bravery in battle, he repeatedly built up his miraculous feats, and soon became the acting commander of the 3rd Division of the 6th Army of the Third Route Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army, leading the anti-Japanese generals to deal heavy blows to the Japanese puppet army again and again.

In 1938, the northeast anti-Japanese resistance entered the most difficult stage, the northeast provincial committees of the COMMUNIST Party of China lost contact with the CPC Central Committee, Wang Minggui had to lead his troops across the Heilongjiang River into the Territory of the Soviet Union, seeking Soviet assistance, the troops hit the Heilongjiang river with only about twenty cavalry left, but fell into the enemy ambush.

At this time, Wang Minggui resolutely led his troops to directly attack the headquarters of the enemy's crusade team and launched an active death-defying attack. Caught off guard, the Japanese pseudo-infantry found that they were almost suicidal in the snow fighting with the cavalry, but they could not fight, they could not catch up, they could not escape, and in the fierce battle, all three commanders of the Japanese army were killed, and the troops were also destroyed. Of the twenty-four horsemen around Wang Minggui, thirteen were killed in battle, and only eleven remained in the Soviet Union, half of whom were wounded.

In early 1940, General Yang Jingyu was martyred. At this difficult moment, Wang Minggui preferred to face the difficulties, and he decided to capture the puppet Manchukuo "model county" Keshan County, and if it succeeded, it would be tantamount to "poking a big hole" in the momentum of the puppet manchukuo, and the people of the whole northeast and the whole country would see that the Japanese and puppet "crusades" and "encirclement and suppression" were only external strong and middle cadres, the Anti-Japanese Alliance down the next Yang Jingyu, and thousands of "people who did not want to be slaves."

However, Keshan County garrisoned a total of 1,000 Japanese and puppet troops, and Wang Minggui had more than 100 men under him, so he decided to outwit them. After more than 3 months of reconnaissance, he formulated a strategy of moving the tiger away from the mountain, first sending a small group of troops to move around the county seat to lure the Japanese army to pursue. Then, they returned to Keshan in the starry night, and joined forces with the comrades lurking in the city to break through the "Model City" in one fell swoop.

In this campaign, Wang Minggui led his troops to kill and capture more than 70 Japanese puppet troops, captured more than 100 long and short guns, four mortars, and attracted more than 100 people to join the anti-Japanese coalition army.

During a battle, a bullet hit Wang Minggui between the cracks in his kneecaps. There were no surgical instruments, but bullets had to be taken out. Looking at the bloody wounds, the fellow villagers did not dare to start.

He borrowed a razor and a pair of pliers, tied his legs to a long stool, let everyone hold them down, and used the knife to open the skin and flesh of the wound, and used the tiger's head tongs to clamp the bullet in the bone gap, and pulled it out with all his strength.

Within a few days, he rode on a warhorse and commanded the battle.

It was in such a harsh environment that Wang Minggui led the troops out of nowhere, constantly launching attacks on the Japanese army, frightening the Japanese army to sleep at night, and the japanese army's war history once recorded:

"When night comes, not only do the machine gunners have to stay on full alert all night, but all the personnel put their pistols under their pillows to fall asleep. The outside of the firm is a thickened earthen wall with gun holes. Day or night, the forest police are on the same alert as they are in the battlefield. ”

After the Japanese surrendered, Wang Minggui did not stop him until 1947

37 years old

At that time, many people introduced him to him, but he refused, saying:

"When the Anti-Japanese Resistance Army was saved, maybe one day the child would die on the battlefield, and then what would the girl do?"

Wang Minggui's family portrait

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wang Minggui could have gone to the south to take up a post because he spoke fluent Japanese and Russian, but he insisted on returning to the northeast, where he had fought. His superiors appointed him commander of the cavalry division of the Northeast Field Army and asked him to organize the preparation of the first cavalry army of our country, but after investigation, he suggested to his superiors:

"The two provinces of Liaoning and Jilin lack grasslands and are not suitable for cavalry combat—especially more than 10,000 people plus nearly 10,000 military horses, and it is difficult to feed. It was therefore sufficient to retain one cavalry regiment per infantry division. ”

His superiors eventually agreed with him.

For this reason, his family once joked that he was "stupid" and could have become a military commander, but the division commander was gone, but he said solemnly:

"In order to win the war, everything must proceed from reality and we must not dwell on personal gains and losses."

Later, Wang Minggui served as deputy commander of the Heilongjiang Provincial Military Region and was awarded the rank of major general in 1955.

In the general's later years, a reporter interviewed him and wanted to understand the hard life of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army at that time, but he said very unhappily:

"Why do you always ask me how badly the devils are chasing me when I am cold and hungry?" To tell you the truth, at that time, what the devil ate Lao Tzu ate, he had some in the warehouse, Lao Tzu hit the Kwantung Army a car, what did he want. Flying in the water on the mountain, in addition to the tiger has not eaten, what mountain treasure wild game Lao Tzu has not eaten? I've heard the devil's phonograph too! ”

In 2005, the general died of illness in Harbin at the age of 95. After the body was cremated, a lot of unburned shrapnel was removed from his ashes, which was left in his body in 1935 when he was hit by a Japanese shell and injured his head.
