In July 1945, the Japanese published a very interesting article in the "Pseudo-Manchuria" newspaper, which was titled:
"Yu Tianfang escaped, Manchuria lost more than half"
。
At that time, with the publication of this article, the Japanese army's wanted reward order for Tianfang was also immediately announced, and the Japanese and puppet troops in the city were arresting Yu Tianfang, but Yu Tianfang was like evaporation in the human world, and no matter how the Japanese army searched, they could not find any trace of Yu Tianfang.
Seeing this, everyone may be curious, who is this Yu Tianfang? What kind of identity does he have? And how did he manage to escape from the Japanese?

With these questions in mind, we understand after reading the next story.
On April 9, 1908, a baby's cry was heard from a large family in Baikui Fort, Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province. At this time, the middle-aged man who had been waiting outside the door rushed into the room behind him, and this middle-aged man was Yu Tianfang's father
Yu Dehai
As soon as he entered the room, Yu Dehai said to his mistress:
"How's it going? They're all safe, right? ”
The midwife smiled and said:
"Congratulations, mother and child are safe."
After hearing these words, Yu Dehai's nervous thoughts finally relaxed and laughed:
"God bless me at home, this is a great joy, and I want to put on a feast."
Then, the wife on the side said to Dehai:
"I haven't given my child a name yet!"
Yu Dehai looked at this newborn little life, thought about it for a while, and said:
"Then call it Yu Shuping."
Yu Shuping was later Yu Tianfang.
Yu Tianfang
Smart since childhood, when he was in elementary school, he was always at the top of the class, and many adults praised him. Childhood is free and beautiful for Yu Tianfang, he often takes the children nearby to the tree to pick up bird eggs, and have fun, at that time, there is a group between them, and Yu Tianfang is the "doll king" in this group of children.
In 1924, Yu Tianfang was admitted to the Heilongjiang Provincial Industrial School with excellent results, and in the school, he was exposed to revolutionary ideas and also met some revolutionary partners, such as zhang Jiazhou, a famous anti-Japanese general.
Seeing that the people were living in the depths of the waters, Yu Tianfang was eager to learn and achieve success at once and devote himself wholeheartedly to the revolutionary cause, and it was at that time that Yu Tianfang firmly established the revolutionary road, and he would use his life to guard this road.
On September 20, 1927, in order to protest the Japanese army's attack on Shandong, people from all walks of life at that time spontaneously held a demonstration, and Yu Tianfang was no exception, he organized students from provincial no. 1 Middle School, provincial normal schools and other schools to march on the street, and the student contingent was huge, holding small flags in their hands and shouting the same slogans in their mouths.
On that day, Yu Tianfang also led the students to surround the Japanese consulate in Qiqihar, hoping to protest in this way. However, shortly after Tianfang and others surrounded the Japanese consulate, the Heilongjiang overseer
Wu Junsheng
Led a group of military police to the consulate.
They suppressed the students who marched, and the scene was chaotic, and even gunshots could be heard. After the parade, Yu Tianfang and eight other students were arrested by Wu Junsheng, but under pressure from all walks of life, Wu Junsheng had to release these students.
The news of Yu Tianfang's leadership of the parade soon reached the ears of the school authorities, and at that time, in order not to cause trouble for themselves, the school expelled Tianfang and other students who participated in the parade.
Although he was expelled from the school, Yu Tianfang's path of study did not end, and he knew that only by constantly improving his knowledge could he better carry out the revolutionary cause. So after a period of hard work, Yu Tianfang was admitted to the Department of Economics of Tsinghua University with excellent results.
During his time at Tsinghua University, Yu Tianfang found his old classmate
Zhang Jiazhou
。 At that time, Zhang Jiazhou was studying in the Physics Department of Peking University, and the two of them also met often and fought together in the cause of revolution. In May 1931, Yu Tianfang joined the Communist Party of China under the introduction of Zhang Jiazhou, which was Yu Tianfang's dream all along.
After the "918 Incident", the party organization issued an order for Tianfang, which was to let Yu Tianfang organize and lead students to march, strike and other activities, which was used to call on the Qing government to resist Japan.
A few months later, Yu Tian looked at the fall of his hometown and did not achieve much success in his own parade, which made him sad and indignant, so he decided to interrupt his studies at Tsinghua University and resolutely returned to the northeast with Zhang Jiazhou and five other students. Later, under the leadership of the Manchurian Provincial Party Committee, the first local anti-Japanese armed force led by the Communist Party was established.
Bayan anti-Japanese guerrillas
This guerrilla group is not simple, but there are many talented people inside, many of them are educated college students, although from the outside, most of the members of the guerrilla group are angry, but when they start a war, they are not ambiguous, they will use knowledge wisely, pay attention to scientific methods, and beat the enemy to the north.
In the Bayan Anti-Japanese Guerrillas, Zhang Jiazhou served as the commander-in-chief, and Yu Tianfang served as a commissioner, responsible for underground intelligence work.

In 1937, with the opening of the prelude to the National War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Yu Tianfang's unit was incorporated into the 11th Army of the Anti-Japanese League, and successively served as the chief of education and the director of the political department of the accompanying military school.
In 1938, in order to obtain more wood, the Japanese army opened a timber company in Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province. In order to transport the timber, the Japanese also sent special horses from their homeland, plus some stolen, a total of more than a thousand horses.
At that time, Yu Tianfang planned to form a cavalry detachment, but the troops were short of horses, so he set his sights on the Japanese army, as long as the Japanese horses transporting wood were obtained, the cavalry detachment would soon be formed.
Now that the target was already there, we were waiting for the actual operation, but soon, Yu Tianfang encountered difficulties again, that is, there were not many anti-coalition soldiers who remained in Suileng County, and if they rushed forward, it would definitely be very dangerous.
Fortunately, the road to heaven is invincible, and it lies in the fact that the captain of the three detachments of the Anti-Japanese League is at a time when the sky is at a loss
Wang Minggui
Take his men down to meet Yu Tianfang. After hearing Yu Tianfang's idea, Wang Minggui was also happy, and he smiled and said to Tianfang:
"I think this is a very good idea, and soon the six teams will also come here to rest, and then we will have a tripartite cooperation and hit him by surprise."
A few days later, the six detachments finally came to Suileng County to rest, and Yu Tianfang and others immediately formulated a detailed battle plan and decided to launch an attack a few days later.
At that time, Wang Minggui led 120 soldiers to form the first echelon of the attack, because it was winter, and the Japanese timber factory was a certain distance from the place where Yu Tianfang and others were stationed, so the soldiers had to brave the cold and walk in the snow for nearly three hours to reach the timber factory.

After arriving at the timber factory, the soldiers immediately launched an attack and quickly solved the Japanese sentry, and Wang Minggui also arranged for the soldiers to set up two machine guns outside the timber factory. After doing this, the warriors rushed into the lumber mill, and each soldier led two horses back to the army.
At this time, the Japanese army found that the situation was not right, so they chased after the soldiers of our army, and when they arrived at the designated location, the two soldiers who had been ambushed in the snow earlier picked up machine guns and fired at the enemy. In this way, the footsteps of the Japanese pursuit were beaten back.
Not long after, the Japanese army received reinforcements, and the pressure on the soldiers of our army increased a lot in an instant, but at this moment, the soldiers of the second echelon led by Yu Tianfang rushed over and repelled the enemy's second attack.
In this raid on the Japanese timber mills, our army obtained a total of 200 horses, 150 bags of white noodles, and killed more than 30 Japanese troops. Not only was it supplied to form a cavalry detachment, but it also dealt a great blow to the arrogance of the enemy.
In December 1941, because the fighters of the Anti-Japanese League were often attacked by the enemy and sometimes swept by the Japanese army, in order to preserve the revolutionary forces, the organization decided to let the main force of the Anti-Japanese League cross the border into the Soviet Union for recuperation, while Yu Tianfang stayed in the northeast and continued to fight with the Japanese army.
In the circumstances of the time, staying in the northeast meant that there would be greater dangers,
But Yu Tianfang was not afraid or flinched, and he fought with the enemy.
Soon, Yu Tianfang attracted the attention of the enemy, and at that time, the Japanese army also wanted Tianfang, with a bounty of up to 50,000 yuan.
Figure | Japanese army
When Yu Tianfang heard about it, he laughed and said:
"I didn't expect my head to be worth 50,000 yuan, which is my honor."
It can be seen from the importance attached by the Japanese army to Tianfang that Yu Tianfang's anti-Japanese work in recent years has achieved excellent results.
Although on the surface, Yu Tianfang did not care about this wanted order, in his heart, he was twelve points of vigilance.
Saying goes:
"Day and night defense, family thieves are difficult to prevent."
It may be that the temptation of the 50,000 yuan reward is too great,
Yu Tianfang was eventually betrayed by traitors, what was going on?
In December 1944, Yu Tianfang came to Songwan Jintun to inquire about intelligence, and in order to hide his whereabouts, Yu Tianfang lived in Songwan Jintun Primary School. Originally, everything was going well and there was nothing wrong, but after all, the 50,000 yuan reward was there, and some people still couldn't resist the temptation and told the Japanese of Tianfang's whereabouts.
The Japanese did not act immediately after receiving the news, they first asked the special police chief
Wang Jingyu
He and his men dressed as peasants mixed into song wan jintun primary school to investigate the truth, and after getting accurate information, they immediately launched an arrest.
That morning, as soon as Yu Tianfang got up from bed, several agents rushed in, and they said to Tianfang:
"Chief, you should come with us."
At this time, Yu Tianfang also knew the situation he was in, so he quickly knocked this agent to the ground, but there were too many enemies, and Yu Tianfang was eventually captured by the enemy.
In order not to let Yu Tianfang realize where he was being held, the enemy also deliberately found a black cloth to cover Tianfang's head, and then escorted him into the car and left the SongWan Jintun Primary School.
After leaving the SongWan Jintun Primary School, the enemy escorted Yu Tian to the Police Department's Special High School Shelter, which was actually a spy organization established by the Japanese army in China, mainly responsible for secret service activities and intelligence work. Inside the "special high school" shelter, there is also a secret prison.
Figure | jail
Although there are only 5 cells in this prison, there are three iron doors, and the guards of the cells are all Japanese, from here it can be seen how much the Japanese army attaches importance to the "prisoners" held in this prison, after all, there are some "repeat offenders" held in this prison.
When Yu Tianfang first came to this prison, he was not immediately tortured by the enemy, who first entertained Yu Tianfang well, hoping to get useful information from Yu Tianfang's mouth through this method, all of which was just a conspiracy.
At that time, Yu Tianfang's food had meat and noodles, more than ordinary prisoners, many, many, for the enemy's false courtesy, Yu Tianfang often did not refuse, after all, if you want to escape from here, you must first have a good body.
A few days later, a senior Officer of the Japanese Army came to the cell and asked Yu Tianfang:
"Mr. Yu, are you still used to living here?" Cold or not? ”
Yu Tianfang coped with a few words and did not want to have any communication with him. The senior officers of the Japanese army saw the situation, and did not talk nonsense with Yu Tian, and directly entered the theme.
He said to Tianfang:
"Mr. Yu, I'm quite interested in the secret camp of the Anti-League, can you tell me about it?"
Yu Tianfang looked at the senior Japanese officer and deliberately said:
"I only know that I am a commissioner of the Anti-Japanese Coalition, and the others do not know."
After that, no matter what the senior Japanese officer asked him, he just said this.
After a long time, the patience of the enemy was quickly exhausted, and they gave up the previous method and took a tough approach to Tianfang.
One day, the enemy pushed Yu Tianfang into the interrogation room, which was full of torture equipment, such as tiger stools, leather whips, soldering irons and the like. When the enemy saw Yu Tianfang or did not say anything, he used these torture devices on him, and the cruelty was outrageous.
Figure | Tiger stool
After a lap down, the enemy was exhausted, but Yu Tianfang still didn't say anything, and he sneered at the enemy:
"I am a commissioner of the Anti-Japanese Coalition, enough to be shot twice, don't ask any more questions, you just use the torture."
When the enemy saw the situation, there was no way but to send Yu Tianfang back to the cell, and since then, Yu Tianfang's food has become very poor, sometimes even nothing.
Yu Tianfang knew that the enemy would definitely not give up, so he had been planning to escape the prison, but if he wanted to escape successfully, he must first think about these points. First, when to escape from prison; second, where you are locked up; third, how to escape from prison; fourth, how to hide yourself after escaping from prison.
For the time of jailbreak, Yu Tianfang knows that it is not the time, because it is winter, the surrounding area is definitely a white expanse, even if it is escaped from prison, there is no way to hide, it is likely that it will still be caught, so the time of jailbreak should be selected in a season with dense vegetation.
After roughly confirming the time of the jailbreak, Yu Tianfang had to know where he was currently. At that time, Yu Tianfang's cell had only a small window, and through the window, Yu Tianfang could see a gray second floor with two windows and a white lime line between the two windows.
In fact, this is a very useful clue, but Yu Tianfang is not familiar with the local situation, so he can't be sure where this is, he can only determine that he is imprisoned at the railway station or near the train line through the sound of the train's whistle, but it is far from enough to know this.
At this moment, several more prisoners were sent into the prison, and Yu Tian thought that perhaps they knew the specific location of the place, so they tried to communicate with the prisoners who had just been sent in.
Yu Tianfang told the people he had the information he had, and surprisingly, one of them lived in the vicinity, so he was very familiar with the area, and he quickly concluded that the place was just north of the railway station, opposite the Industrial Bank.
Figure | railway station
After that, Yu Tianfang inquired in detail about the buildings near this place and had a general understanding of the area. Now that you know where you are, you're about to start planning a jailbreak.
In order to successfully escape from prison, Yu Tianfang knew that he still lacked a self-defense weapon, but everything on his body had been taken away by the enemy when he first entered this prison, even the belt had been taken away, and he was unarmed, and the difficulty of escaping from prison would be much higher.
At this moment, Yu Tianfang shifted his gaze to the stove by the wall. The cell was built in the Russian style, with a stove on the wall between the two cells, and inside the furnace there was a small hole that was used specifically to extract the ashes, and in front of the small hole there was a small iron door, about five inches long, which could be removed.
This small iron gate is the only weapon with lethal power that Yu Tianfang can obtain at present, and perhaps the key to successfully escaping from prison this time lies in this small iron gate.
As soon as the time flickered, it was May, when the enemy's senior officials began to get busy, and the guards were deliberately added to the cell, and Yu Tian thought with confidence that the enemy was definitely going to execute himself, so the escape plan needed to be executed during this time.
Through Yu Tianfang's observation, he also found that there were some differences in the Japanese army recently, that is, everyone had a sad face, as if there was something on their minds. By chance, Yu Tianfang overheard the enemy say:
"Hitler failed
Soon, Yu Tianfang understood the situation outside and had a rough idea in mind.
In June of that year, Nagai, a senior Officer of the Japanese Army, came to Yu Tianfang's cell, and he said straight to the point:
"Mr. Yu, I hope you can draw the route of the Soviet soldiers' attack on this map."
Yu Tianfang thought about it for a long time, and he had a plan in mind, and he said to Yongjing:
"Yes, but my memory is poor and it may take a long time to remember."
In fact, Yu Tianfang did not really draw a road map for the Japanese army, he just wanted to get this map, better understand the nearby terrain, and prepare more for the subsequent escape from prison.
In July, Yu Tianfang had already memorized the entire map in mind, and he was about to start implementing the prison escape plan. One night, the Japanese army sent another "prisoner", this "prisoner" is different from the others, he even took advantage of the absence of the Japanese army, whispered:
"Is Comrade Yu Tianfang here?"
This sentence surprised Yu Tianbao, who was a little unsure whether this person was a Secret Agent of the Japanese Army, so he did not answer. The "prisoner" saw this and said:
"I am Zhao Zhongliang of the Second Route Army of the Anti-Japanese Coalition..."
After that, he whispered something that only the anti-coalition fighters knew to Yu Tianfang.
Through this, Yu Tianfang only let go of his guard a little, he asked tentatively
Zhao Zhongliang
:
"What's going on outside?" How tall is the grass? ”
Zhao Zhongliang immediately understood the meaning of Yu Tianfang's words and whispered:
"Germany is defeated, the Soviet Union is going to send troops, our main anti-coalition forces are coming back, and the grass outside has grown to the height of the crops, which can completely cover people."
After a period of getting along, Yu Tianfang completely let go of his guard, he told Zhao Zhongliang about his prison escape plan, the two people improved each other, and finally got a good prison escape plan.
On the night of July 11, the guards were the most lax is Ishimaru, and Yu Tianfang and Zhao Zhongliang exchanged glances, ready to follow the previous plan.
Only to hear Yu Tianfang say:
"I'm going to go to the bathroom."
Ishimaru agreed without even thinking about it, and then Yu Tianfang said:
"The light inside the cell is dim, and I want to draw a map, hoping to paint on the table outside."
Ishimaru also knew that Yu Tianfang had a task to draw a map, so he also agreed to Yu Tianfang's request.
When Yu Tianfang came out of the cell, Zhao Zhongliang seized the opportunity to say:
"I want to go to the bathroom too."
When Ishimaru heard this, he turned his head to look at Zhao Zhongliang, just wanting to shout loudly. At this time, Yu Tianfang, who was standing behind Ishimaru, picked up the small iron door hidden in his sleeve and smashed it on Ishimaru's head.
Unfortunately, Ishimaru did not faint because of this smashing, he just wanted to shout loudly, Yu Tianfang immediately inserted his finger into his throat, making him unable to make any sound. After that, Yu Tianfang and Zhao Zhongliang wrestled with The Stone Pill, and it wasn't long before the Stone Pill finally fell.
Seeing the situation, Yu Tianfang quickly found the key from the stone pill and opened the cell. In this way, Yu Tianfang and Zhao Zhongliang escaped from this prison.
Soon, however, the escape of Yu Tianfang and others from prison was known to the enemy, and they published an article in the newspaper entitled "Yu Tianfang escaped, and Manchuria lost more than half of it", and also issued a reward order.
After the successful escape, Yu Tianfang and Zhao Zhongliang dispersed, fortunately they had agreed on a meeting place before, but Yu Tianfang waited for a long time in the place they agreed, and never waited for Zhao Zhongliang, until later did he know that Zhao Zhongliang was unfortunately betrayed by the villain after escaping from prison, and he was heroically sacrificed.
On August 16, Yu Tianfang heard an exciting news:
"Japan surrendered unconditionally."
Since then, Yu Tianfang finally no longer has to live a life of hiding, and the Chinese people have also ushered in a great victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan.
Figure | The great leader Chairman Mao
In 1954, Yu Tianfang was invited to participate in the National Day celebration, and on the upper floor of Tiananmen Square,
Chairman Mao
Personally received Yu Tianfang and said to Tianfang happily:
"Great wisdom and courage, national hero."
These short eight words completely reflect the quality of Yu Tianfang, and he is a well-deserved hero.
