That night, when he returned home, Kishitani Ryuichiro poisoned his wife, and then went into the study himself, and did not go out until much later. After walking for a long time on the streets of Tonghua County, he walked to the top of the city tower and finally committed suicide by caesarean section on the city tower. The next day, the Japanese soldiers were desperate when they found the body of the commander, but on Kishitani Ryuichiro's body, they found a suicide note containing most of the chief's confessions.
In Kishitani Ryuichiro's suicide note, he also said that he would not bring his bones back to Japan after his death, and that he wanted to bury him in the land of the northeast and accompany General Yang Jingyu to make up for his mistakes and use this to dispel his guilt towards General Yang Jingyu.
