Ancient China was once the richest and most powerful country in the world, and with its strong national strength, it made the four seas submit. However, as modern China began to close the country, it eventually became out of touch with the times and was surpassed by other Western countries. Backwardness was about to be beaten, and the Qing government, again a representative of corruption and incompetence, soon began to cut up land and pay reparations, turning China into a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society. However, Japan, which was once a closed country like China, chose to open its doors to learn the advanced technology and concepts of the West when the great powers invaded, and eventually transformed from an aggressor into a new generation of aggressors.
Modern China has also suffered many japanese aggressions, and the people of Chinese have paid a very painful price for this. However, there is still such a small country, completely disregarding China's kindness to their country at that time, in order to build a high-rise building to promote the country's economic development, it actually demolished the tombs of hundreds of thousands of Chinese martyrs, shocking the Chinese people.
In the Sino-Japanese War of 1895, the Beiyang Fleet, which the Qing government had spent heavily to build, was destroyed by Japan in one fell swoop, and China suffered heavy losses. Later, the "Maguan Treaty" was signed, which caused the Chinese people to bear heavy taxes, and Japan became more and more arrogant. In 1931, the 918 Incident broke out, and Japan launched another invasion of China, Chinese people rose up to fight and composed a story of the War of Resistance that can be sung and wept.
In the early days of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, China's material preparations were very scarce, which greatly affected the army's operations on the front line, but at that time, China's productivity was very weak, and most of them had to rely on foreign imports. At first, there were still Sino-Soviet international transport lines and the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway, but as the war progressed, both lines had to be interrupted. In order to solve the material problem, China once opened a route over the Himalayas, but this route was extremely difficult and the traffic volume was far from meeting the requirements.
These transportation difficulties prompted China to start building the Yunnan Burma Highway, when 200 engineers and 200,000 migrant workers were mobilized to devote the strength of the whole country to the construction in less than a year, and this route naturally became the lifeline for China's transportation of armaments and materials. However, the good times did not last long, the Japanese invaders actually invaded Burma, the Yunnan Burma road transport was challenged as never before, in order to rescue this precious transportation route, China sent 400,000 expeditionary troops to Burma to help them resist the Japanese invasion. The Chinese Expeditionary Force paid a very painful sacrifice to get burma today, and left the remains of hundreds of thousands of martyrs in the local area, which are symbols of Sino-Burmese friendship and witness the deep feelings of the Chinese Expeditionary Force for the Burmese people.
But Myanmar obviously did not remember this kindness, and directly chose to build office buildings to develop the economy in the two choices of developing the domestic economy and protecting the martyrs' cemetery. It was a blatant insult to the Chinese martyrs, met with outcry from Chinese and even from inside Burma, but none of this stopped them from building office buildings. However, the tombs of the British and French soldiers inside were not treated in this way, and even the tombs left by the Japanese invaders were not so insulted, why was it so disrespectful to the Chinese martyrs alone. This kind of ungrateful behavior has seriously hurt the feelings of the Chinese and Burmese peoples, and it is even more a manifestation of disregard for history.
Today's China is no longer the weak country that was slaughtered by others, but there are still ungrateful countries that forget the grace of sending charcoal in the snow, and this is not just Myanmar. China has always pursued the basic policy of peaceful diplomacy and has never engaged in hegemonism and power politics, and Myanmar's behavior is disgraceful.
