However, whether people will go to a new world is unknown, but they will eventually become a skeleton shelf. However, such thinking has become a unique funerary culture in the mainland. Moreover, in ancient times, it also paid attention to the reputation of the deceased after death, and had different pursuits in various periods.
After the unification of the Qin Dynasty, until the end of the Han Dynasty, most of the tombs at this time adopted a bucket-style structure. After that, from the opening of the Southern Song Dynasty to the establishment of the Qing Dynasty, this period of time was not only deeply invaded by the surrounding nomads, but also entered the Central Plains several times, which also led to continuous wars, so the tombs during this period were no longer as complicated as the Tang Dynasty, more simple. This is only for ordinary people, and the royal tomb is still so magnificent. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, tombs were characterized by a focus on ground architecture, and various palaces were built, which were modeled after the deceased's lifetime. And the dungeon is stronger than ever. These mausoleums, if the ancient tomb robbers wanted to use some simple tools at that time to enter the tombs of the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was completely impossible.
Although tomb robbers cannot break through the buildings of the Ming and Qing dynasties with simple tools, more often than not, they will use violent means to destroy them. Therefore, the tomb robbers have also become the biggest enemies and the most serious destroyers of countless ancient tombs. After they enter the ancient tomb, they will take away all the precious cultural relics that can be taken away, but it will also seriously damage the valuable historical relics in the eyes of these tomb robbers, and cause irreparable losses to our archaeology. And the owner of the tomb does not want these tomb robbers to disturb their tombs, so tomb robbery and anti-tomb robbery is a continuous battle between tomb robbers and tomb owners since ancient times.
In Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, there is a tomb that fully reflects the struggle between the owner of the tomb and the tomb robbers, and this tomb is also known as the "first murderous tomb" on the mainland. The reason is that there are more than 80 tomb robbers who died here, and these tomb robbers are all coming to steal tombs at different times, and there are tomb robbers buried here in almost all dynasties after the tomb owner is buried. So what is the mystery of this tomb, can there be such a terrible killing machine?
At the end of the 20th century, construction was carried out everywhere in the country, and in a construction site in Xiangyang, when the workers were working, they accidentally excavated a bluestone slab, and after cleaning the soil on it, many ancient characters appeared. At this time, I did not know what to do with the slate, so I reported it to the local archaeological department.
After the arrival of experts, after a series of explorations, it was found that this is an ancient tomb, and through the structure of the tomb and the text found, it can be judged that the tomb is from the Five Dynasties period. But archaeologists were not happy for long before they found dozens of burglar holes in the tomb, which most likely meant that the artifacts inside had been looted.
Nevertheless, archaeologists have excavated the tombs. At the end of the burial chamber, there was a cliff more than 7 meters deep. If you are not careful, you are likely to fall into it, at this time, some experienced archaeologists have found that this tomb belongs to the typical "quicksand tomb".
What is a Quicksand Tomb? This kind of tomb is a kind of tomb that the ancients studied specifically to deal with tomb robbers, and the organs inside the tomb are designed by using the unstable and flowing characteristics of sand. When the mechanism is designed, a large amount of sand will be placed on the top of the tomb, if the tomb robber enters the tomb, then these quicksand containing a large number of sharp stones will quickly block the robbery hole, and eventually let the tomb robber be buried alive in his own robbery cave or trapped alive in the tomb.
In order to deal with such a quicksand tomb, archaeologists let the excavator clean up all the sand first, and when the sand was all cleared, a terrible scene appeared. Just below this sand, more than 80 corpses appeared, and after examining these corpses, experts found that all of them were tomb robbers. All of them were trapped in the caves or burial chambers by these quicksands.
In the past archaeological work, although tomb robbers who died in tombs were occasionally found in tombs, it was the first time that more than 80 tomb robbers died in them at one time, so the name of the continent's first tomb was also deserved.
Although the quicksand tomb seems to be particularly cruel, but the behavior of the tomb robbers is also extremely hateful, if it were not for this ingenious mechanism, not only the tomb owner would be disturbed by various disturbances after his death, but also the precious historical relics in the tomb would either be lost or seriously damaged. And this wisdom of the ancients also has to be admired.
