In order to deeply implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on "ice and snow are also Jinshan Yinshan" and "promote 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports", implement the requirements for accelerating the promotion and popularization of ice and snow sports, and improve the level of ice and snow sports competition in Chengde City, the speed skating rink of Chengde Sports School (hereinafter referred to as Chengde Sports School) was officially put into use recently.
Chengde Sports School fully relies on the advantages of competitive sports talent training and venue advantages, provides free skating venues and skates to teenagers, arranges high-level coaches to teach, explores the potential of youth sports, cultivates reserve talents in ice and snow sports, and improves youth ice and snow sports skills and competitive levels. Since the launch of the ice and snow sports popularization promotion activities on January 1, 2022, in just 6 days, nearly 1,000 teenagers from 4 schools in the city have come to Chengde Sports School for skating training. With the arrival of the winter vacation, more schools and teenagers will join in to feel the charm of ice and snow sports.
