In winter, the dam is freezing cold, but in the Chengde Yudaokou Ranch Management Area, people's enthusiasm for the Winter Olympics is high. On the afternoon of January 27, the biathlon national team ended its isolation training here and left for the Winter Olympic Games.

The bus and support vehicle carrying 27 biathlon national team athletes and related staff slowly drove out of the training base and rushed from the Yudaokou Ranch Management Area of Chengde City to the Zhangjiakou Chongli Winter Olympic Stadium. Local people put up banners, waved small national flags along the road to send off, pinning their blessings on the Beijing Winter Olympics and cheering for Chinese athletes.
"National Hebei Chengde Saihanba Sports Training Base" is located in Chengde Yudaokou Ranch Management Area, put into use since the end of 2018, after more than two years of successive construction and operation, the base facilities and equipment have been gradually improved, and the service guarantee capacity has been continuously improved. Eight projects have been built here, including the National Ice Training Center, the Skating and Skiing Scientific Research and Training Hall, the 7.5-kilometer Biathlon Track, and the 2.5-kilometer Air Film Snow Corridor, creating two world firsts. At present, the base has undertaken more than 100,000 national team preparation training in cross-country skiing, biathlon, speed skating and other sports, and is an important base for the national team to prepare for the Winter Olympics.
On January 18 this year, a total of 32 biathlon national team athletes and related personnel returned from overseas to train in isolation here. The Chinese biathlon team will have eight athletes competing in the Beijing Winter Olympics.
