In June 1950, good news came from the Shanghai Detention Center that an arrested military agent had discovered Chen Yichuan. Therefore, the Shanghai public security could not find him at all. Chen Yichuan was escorted back to the Shanghai Public Security Bureau and confessed to the killing of Wang Yaqiao. Three months later, Chen Yichuan was summarily executed.
