The weapons and equipment are also superior to the "suppression of the general" units set up by other Kuomintang headquarters, and almost all of them are purely american weapons and equipment; even so, it is still impossible to avoid the fate of eventual annihilation, and the ace New First Army, which was once one of the five main forces of the Nationalist Army, actually had a whole division surrender to the Platonaya reorganization system in the Shenyang area, which is really breathtaking.
Speaking of the New First Army, we have to mention Sun Liren, a Kuomintang general who fought in the expedition to the battlefield of Yunnan and Burma, who once won a great victory in Ren'an Qiang and rescued more than 7,000 trapped British troops, and then led the New First Army to drive the Japanese Kou all the way out of the jungles of northern Burma, opened up the China-India-Burma Highway during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and made great contributions to the overall victory of the War of Resistance.
In the period of the Liberation War, the new First Army still retains the American training mode under the Burma battlefield, and even adds additional characteristics of the domestic battlefield, such as specially prepared social flowers for officers and other configurations that conform to the image of the Kuomintang army, of course, this is just a joke, in fact, the new First Army, which came out of the original US military training model, after returning to the domestic battlefield, the officers still hope to retain this training mode to maintain and strengthen the combat effectiveness of the combat troops, and these officers at or above the regimental level have mostly studied in the United States. The openness of the mind also led to the increase of these additional configurations, and even various combat movies were set up among the soldiers to set off the atmosphere of the battlefield, so as to maintain high morale and release the pressure of the battle at any time.
Even so, in the repeated confrontations with the People's Liberation Army's Dongye on the northeast battlefield, the ace of the New First Army still inevitably suffered considerable losses, and in 1947, after Chen Cheng took charge of the Northeast Military Administration, the New First Army was split into two different combat units, the new 38th Division of the original army was transferred out to form the New 7th Army, stationed in the Changchun area, the new 30th Division and the 50th Division remained in the establishment, and the units with the name of the provisional 53rd Division were transferred to the army to fill the vacancies transferred from the new 38th Division. During the Liaoshen Campaign, the New First Army, which was part of Liao Yaoxiang's 9th Corps, dispatched 2 divisions to operate with the main forces of the corps, namely the new 30th Division and the 50th Division, and was completely destroyed after a bloody battle with the Plaster Dongye in the Black Mountain area, while the provisional 53rd Division of the army did not move with the main force of the corps, but remained in the Shenyang area to defend the base camp.
The Jinzhou Nationalist Army Fan Hanjie Military Group was surrounded by 400,000 main forces of the People's Liberation Army Dongye, the situation was precarious, Shenyang's Liao Yaoxiang 9th Corps was ordered to go out with the Jinxi and Huludao Hou Jingru 17th Corps to form an east-west attack, and went to the Jinzhou area to try to fight a decisive battle with Dongye, and in the area of Montenegro Liao Yaoxiang first broke out a fierce battle with the obstructing Dongye 10th Column, and the 5 main column of Dongye, which had ended the Jinzhou Offensive Battle without making any progress for 5 days, attacked the Dongye 5 main column that ended the Jinzhou Offensive Battle. Although the new 30th Division and the 50th Division of the New First Army once maintained a relatively complete structure and combat effectiveness in the chaotic battle with several main columns in Dongye, they were eventually annihilated by two fists and four hands, leaving only the strength of a full division of the provisional 53rd Division defending the Shenyang area, but this unit surrendered to the People's Liberation Army without firing a single shot when Dongye attacked Shenyang City.
It was not uncommon for Kuomintang troops to surrender to the People's Liberation Army during the Liberation War, and the surrender process of the provisional 53rd Division, the last division of the New First Army, was very simple. To the relevant battle history mentioned this unit is only a one-line description, and this division actually has a strong combat effectiveness, personnel, structure, weapons and equipment are very complete, in the last 130,000 Shenyang defenders in combat effectiveness is also superior, also stationed in the outskirts of Shenyang City, and the Dongye siege force still has a period of time and space distance to lay down their weapons as a whole, in many of the final key moments facing the destruction of the city, there is no shortage of Kuomintang troops to fight for the line of fire surrender or uprising, Unlike the Kuomintang troops who even wanted to negotiate various conditions for surrender to the Platon Army in order to win the final benefits, when the Provisional 53rd Division of the New First Army surrendered to Dongye, it did not strive for surrender, surrender, or uprising, that is, when the Dongye siege troops had not yet attacked the position, they laid down their weapons without saying a word, let alone had any discussion with the troops of the PLA Dongye who accepted the surrender, which was really shocking.
