Han Chinese. He graduated from the Department of Chinese of Northwest Normal University and studied in the Fine Arts Department of the School of Arts of Peking University. His works have participated in many exhibitions in China, provinces and cities, and have been exhibited in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Urumqi, Guilin, Wuxi, Wuhan, Haikou, Hefei, Xi'an, Lijiang, Lanzhou, Tongwei and other places. In 2018, his works were selected for the Lanzhou City Art Exhibition in Rome, Italy; in June 2019, the Chinese painting work "Snow Yan City Spring" was selected for the 13th National Art Exhibition Gansu Fine Art Works Selection Exhibition; the Gansu Fine Arts Exhibition for the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China; the First Prize of the National Art Competition of the Chinese Famous Artists List in 2019; the Gansu Series Of Fine Arts Works Exhibition in the Centenary of the Founding of the Party in 2021; the 14th City and Prefecture Art Joint Exhibition; and the National Invitation Exhibition of Famous Artists. He has published a large number of art works and art reviews in more than a dozen newspapers and periodicals across the country, such as "Chinese Writers and Artists", "Artists", "Art Collection", "Gansu Daily", "China Art News", "Vision", "Silk Road" and so on. The Gansu People's Fine Arts Publishing House published his personal poetry collection "End or Beginning", and was selected for the Rural Bookstore Project of the Press and Publication Bureau. In 2018, he was rated as a famous cultural artist in Jincheng by the Lanzhou Municipal Party Committee.

Zhejiang sketching inspiration

Sketching is the "creation of a foreign teacher", which objectively represents the scenery seen in front of you. But painting is after all an artistic creation, not photography, so it cannot be truthfully grounded and comprehensive, it is necessary to know each other with the heart and creation, borrow lyricism, and send affection between landscapes and rivers, which requires intention, "new ideas in the law, sending wonderful words outside the bold" (Su Dongpo wrote Wu Daozi).

It is intended to be the first to write, that is, when we sketch, we must use our own aesthetic understanding to deal with the beauty of nature with our own aesthetic standards, and use the objective objects and the imagery conceived in the chest to express themselves using pen and ink techniques to create a sublimated artistic beauty. But sometimes there is a certain gap between their own intentions and the scenery in front of them.

Teacher Fan Zhibin told me about this problem about the word "creating the environment", that is, in accordance with the requirements of the intention, the details or images that are not in the sketch reference object are added through their own pen and ink to create a beautiful artistic conception in the heart, so that the picture carries more poetry and painting, and meets the requirements of their own intentions.

Guizhou sketching feelings

Ugly golden autumn, Guizhou like a dream, autumn water without dust, autumn high.

Autumn rain blows across the plateau, white clouds hang in the breeze of the cliffs, the mountain wind passes through the post, the flowers fall silently, the rain hits the plantains, the turquoise can be touched, the poetry is at this moment, and the paintings are also mao. In this way, with Teacher Fan Yang walked into Guizhou in late autumn, sketching, demonstrating, and explaining, in the past ten days, he has been enlightened and touched a lot.

First, the writing of pen and ink. Teacher Fan Yang has been using the medium center, using calligraphic lines to construct the main bone of the picture, or simple or complex, or virtual or real, to create a time and space structure of the picture, where the traditional rubbing of Chinese painting seems to be hidden, and those with cursive extremely elastic lines, the entire sketch object is tightly connected, and the entire ink manuscript is full of calligraphy beauty.

Second, between similar and unlikely. The freehand spirit of the Traditional Chinese Painting tradition is the soul of Fan Yang's works, and he outlines the subjective structure with minimalist lines. Although the scene is sketched, but the pen is like a vague image of the dense blend of non-image, it is the pen and ink language between the similar and the unlike, for the later rendering, coloring integrity provides unlimited possibilities, so that the picture is full of imaginative mystery, there will be accidental strokes of the gods.

Third, the sense of rhythm and charm. In the ink manuscript stage in the early stage of sketching, he wielded freely and his pen was like flowing water. His solid basic functions are quick and accurate to grasp the basic shape of the landscape picture. However, in the later rendering and coloring stages, it will become very slow, and in the blending rendering of ochre, two greens and light ink, mountains and trees, light and dark, and the second stage is presented. He pays attention to the transparency and moistness of the color, thick and dry and wet, and uses the pen to be relaxed and calm, full of charm.
