Artist Fan Yang
Born in 1955, his ancestral home is Nantong, Jiangsu. He is currently a postdoctoral supervisor of the National Academy of Painting of China, a doctoral supervisor of the China Academy of Arts, a doctoral supervisor of the School of Humanities and Arts of Macau University of Science and Technology, and a distinguished dean of the School of Fine Arts and Design of the China-ASEAN Academy of Arts of Chengdu University. Enjoy the special allowance of the State Council. He once served as the dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University, the president of the Nanjing Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, the director of the Jinling Art Museum, and the vice president of the Chinese Painting Institute of the National Academy of Painting of China. He was appointed as an academician of the State Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2010, a member of the National Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kyrgyzstan in 2013, a knight of Rulad in Saint-Amelon, France, in 2014, and a Coubertin Prize by the International Olympic Committee in 2019.
