During the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, he created for short track speed skating men's 500m champion Wu Dajing.

"I think he (Wu Dajing) has won glory for our country, so he gave this painting a name, 'Feihong on Ice', and I think [this name] can reflect the momentum of the athletes, and the feeling of giving up who I am when winning gold," Fan Yang said.

Talking about the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics, Fan Yang said that he not only had to draw gold medals, but also silver medals, and also painted the wonderful performances of athletes from all over the world at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
