TM.US plans to launch Arene, the car's operating system, by 2025

According to reports, Japanese automaker Toyota Motor (TM. US) plans to launch its own automotive operating system by 2025, which will be able to handle advanced operations such as autonomous driving.

It is reported that Toyota's software platform Arene will compete with German rivals Volkswagen and Daimler AG. Volkswagen is developing the "VW. OS" operating system software, Daimler plans to launch its own "Mercedes-Benz operating system" on its cars by 2024.

Toyota aims to install the Arene on its own cars by 2025 and plans to supply the system to subsidiaries such as Subaru in the future.

Toyota is considering a licensing model that would allow other electric or driverless car makers and companies to use Arene as well.
