Have you ever been human inside or out of life? For example, there are some things that you try to do well, but no one knows that you did it, and once you screw up others, you will put all the responsibility on you, or you are kind enough to help others, but you are not interested?
So is it that you don't have to care about anything, and if you don't care about yourself, you will be safe and sound? Not necessarily, inaction is also an act, such as a child who is about to fall into a well, and you pass by but turn a blind eye, then you may be drowned by someone else's saliva. It's not to do it, it's not to do it, do you think it's really hard to live?

In the I Ching, the fourth mantra of Kun Gua, the sixth fourth mantra, tells you the answer: "Bracket. No blame, no reputation." It literally means tightening the mouth of the sac, avoiding harm, and not asking for praise. By extension, it means that everything is careful so as not to cause trouble, that is, to warn people to cause less trouble, to try to remain silent, and not to get involved in various right and wrong.
However, the truth told by the "I Ching" is not to teach people how to avoid the world, how to protect themselves, but how to avoid things that are unfavorable to themselves after understanding the actual situation, and to do what they can use for others and themselves on this premise, do not be afraid. In a big vernacular: Don't get into trouble, but don't be afraid.
There is a deeper meaning to this phrase. Judging from the word "include", do you seem familiar? In another order, it is "inclusion". "Packing" is to tighten the pockets, that is, to temporarily put your words, deeds, and thoughts in the pocket, and tie the bag tightly with a rope, just like a master gives you a bag of tips, do not open it first.
When you find that the pocket is bulging, when the time is ripe, open the bag and use it, pour it out, and shoot when it's time to shoot. At this time, your combat effectiveness is very strong, and you can immediately include everything - this is the process from "including" to "encompassing". Therefore, in the "bracketing" stage, it is not to be afraid of things and be a turtle with a shrunken head, but to be appropriately tolerant not to cause trouble, nor to be afraid of things, and to prepare with a positive heart.
First, Shen's whole body retreated without harm
Shin bu-ha was one of the representative figures of the Legalists during the Spring and Autumn Warring States period, and reformed the law in Korea. First of all, as an aside, successive generations of legalists have changed the law in various countries to make the country stronger, but in the process of reform, "strict and less gracious", the people of the whole country must strictly implement the law, otherwise they will be punished, which makes them easily hated.
As a result, none of the reformers of the Dharma have a good death, and many have had rather tragic results. After the reform of the State of Wei was hindered, Wu Qi ran to the State of Chu to help King Xiong of Chu to reform, and after the death of King Chu Mourning, he was shot by a random arrow; Shang Martin was split by a car after the death of Qin Xiaogong's Concubine Qu Liang, that is, five horses were divided; Chao Wrong during the Han Jing Emperor was lured to the vegetable market and beheaded on the spot; Li Si was split by the car and beheaded at the waist...
Only Shin Bu harmed the Korean prime minister for more than ten years, and finally he was able to retire completely, which was a miracle. Shen bu harmed a good ending, met the Ming Jun Han Zhaohou is a factor, the other is that he understands the wisdom of "bracketing", that is, although he does not look low-key when he is the prime minister, he does not cause trouble and does not cause trouble, and his name is taken from the "Like" of this phrase "Bracket is blameless, caution is not harmful", he naturally knows how to get along with others.
Shen Buxian was not able to keep a low profile and not cause trouble at the beginning. Once, in order for his cousin to get a minor official in Korea, he asked Han Zhaohou, who naturally did not agree, which made Shen Buxian very unhappy. Han Zhaohou said: You told me that if you want to govern the country well, you should govern the country according to the laws you formulated, and grant official positions according to merit. Am I now disobeying sir's words and opening this back door, or am I approving your request and breaking mr. sir's rules?
Shen Bu was extremely ashamed after hearing this, so he confessed his guilt and never mentioned this matter again, nor did he invite similar troubles to himself. In the process of reform, although Shen Bu harmed the interests of more nobles, the reform was not thorough, but to a certain extent, the purpose of enriching the country and strengthening the army was achieved, and because of his caution and understanding of balancing various interests, he was able to die well, which is rare among the reformers of the legal family.
Second, Sima Yi cheated on the disease to earn Cao Shuang
The title of the 16th episode of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms is "Gongsun Yuan's soldiers defeated and died in Xiangping, and Sima Yi cheated on his illness to earn Cao Shuang". This time it tells the story of Sima Yi pretending to be ill and deceived Cao Shuang to avoid the disaster of killing himself. Because Sima Yi's merits were too great, the so-called high merits and high vibration lords posed a danger to Cao Shuang, who was in charge of the government at that time, so Cao Shuang tried to find an opportunity to get rid of him.
Sima Yi knew that he could not confront Cao Cao head-on, so he could only pretend to be ill and not go out, nor pay attention to the government. Cao Shuang sent people to investigate Sima Yi's falsehood many times to see if he was really sick or if he was not sick and pretending to be sick. Every time the people sent back, they reported that Sima Yi was very ill and might not live long, and Cao Shuang believed it.
Sima Yi escaped by pretending to be ill, and the strategy he used was the "encompassing" strategy of Kun Gua in the I Ching. Because Sima Yi knew that others wanted to kill him, he could only find a way to avoid it first, and he could not confront the other party hard, nor could he show weakness to the other party and submit to the other party, so his best strategy at this time was to pretend to be ill, do nothing, and say nothing that should not be said.
When he grasped his pocket, Sima Yi did not hesitate to remain silent, reclusive, cautious in words and deeds, thus resolving the dilemma and achieving "no blame and no reputation", that is, no fault and no honor. If evil things are not done, there is no fault, and if good things are not done, there will be no honor, so it is safe.
Sima Yi's way of avoiding misfortune is that he knows how to deal with Cao Shuang, a mad dog villain who "loves beans with horses", and he can't bite you back when he bites you, but temporarily "includes". This sentence is Sima Yi's evaluation of Cao Shuang, believing that Cao Shuang is just an inferior horse who covets the beans in the manger, has no ambition, and does not have to tear each other apart. Later, Sima Yi waited for the opportunity to kill the three tribes of Cao Shuang.
Sima Yi's "bracketing" strategy was aimed at preserving strength, causing less trouble, but not being afraid of things, and then fighting with the other side after recuperating. So what does this story teach us? When you are in trouble, first let yourself be low-key, believe that silence is golden, do not do things that are not good for others and yourself, even if you do things that bring honor to yourself, do not do it for the time being, do not come out, do not blame and reputation, there is no harm.
Third, Sima Huishan is included
During the Three Kingdoms period, there was a powerful figure named Sima Hui, known as "Mr. Good", and Liu Bei was assisted by Zhuge Liang and Pang Tong under his guidance and achieved great things. The reason why this Sima Hui is called Mr. Good is because he says everything that others say is good, it looks boring, in fact, it is his way of striving to protect himself, and it is also his way of "including".
Sima Hui had the talent of the world, but before he met the Ming Lord, he had to pretend to be a good gentleman for safety reasons, especially in Jingzhou, where he lived, which was Liu Biao's territory, and Liu Biao was jealous of Xian's ability and killed Xianren. He didn't want to work for such a person, so he simply didn't want to say anything to wait for the opportunity.
Once Liu Biao disguised himself to see Sima Hui, trying to find out whether he was a Qishi like others said, he asked a few questions. Sima Hui was not ambiguous, or like answering every question of others before, he said good, good, good. Liu Biao thought that this person had a false name, he was just a straw bag that could not be used.
From then on, Liu Biao no longer played Sima Hui's idea, and Sima Hui was naturally safe. Using "Mr. Good" as a cloak to cover up his talent, Sima Hui really did not say a word of nonsense, did not take the initiative to perform to win the appreciation of others, and naturally achieved "no blame and no reputation", such a result is undoubtedly the best.
After understanding that his own talent and reputation could bring disasters, Sima Hui came up with the strategy of "including the bag", which was not that he was really afraid of things, but that he tried not to cause trouble, and later waited for Liu Bei. In real life, when you meet a powerful opponent, and the other party even wants to put you to death, don't act rashly, don't do good deeds to show off, and don't do bad things to let others grasp the handle, in order to get through the difficulties safely.
From these stories, we find that when a person is faced with a difficult situation, the appropriate thing to do is not to say anything, keep your mouth shut, and try not to cause trouble or cause less trouble. The so-called less trouble, not only refers to not to provoke others as much as possible, but also to temporarily do not let yourself participate in anything, good things do not do, bad things do not do, because once you do it, it is no longer a "blameless and honorless" state, easy to be targeted.
But less trouble is not to make you a shrunken-headed turtle, to live cautiously for a lifetime, but not to make senseless sacrifices, your purpose is not to be bitten by a snake, looking for the snake that bites you, and you don't stop biting it. If you don't bite the snake, you may die, and the correct thing to do is to see the snake silently and let it go away first.
This stage is the stage of "inclusion", holding your breath and observing the changes in the situation. If you take the initiative to attack the snake, there is a 50% certainty that it will be killed, and there is a 50% chance of being bitten by it; it is not okay to escape, you will be noticed by the snake as soon as you move, and the aggressive snake will chase and bite you, which is not the best way to deal with it.
Because neither of these methods can be "blameless and unproductive". When you see the snake pass by and know where it often haunts, you can take a detour later, or you can find tools to catch it and not let it harm others - this is your fear. Only by doing this, no matter what you do, there will not be much disaster and disaster.
