Many people have had this experience because the dream is too real to distinguish between reality and dream. Those dreams felt from physical pain to psychological changes as if they had been experienced by themselves.
Experts in different fields have different interpretations of this, and scientists have proposed the concept of parallel universes.
American physicist Hugh Everett formally proposed the idea of multiverse in the 1950s, when they found that particles with equal quanta can appear in two different places at the same time, that is, particles that exist in the human universe, most likely exist in another unknown space outside the universe, forming parallel universes.
We can understand this way that in our unknown space, there is a universe similar to our universe, or a planet with the same history.
For Everett's point of view, some people speculate that dreams are likely to be real things that happen in another universe, because what happens in two parallel universes in a medium is connected, so that things in the other universe are revealed in our world through dreams. So is the dream really another parallel space-time? How does psychology look at it?
This view is interesting and opens our imaginations. But in comparison, psychologists' views have more practical guiding significance for our understanding of dreams.
The parsing of dreams
Psychologist Freud believed that dreams are the satisfaction of subconscious desires, and in daily life people will consciously suppress their true thoughts in their hearts.
When entering the state of sleep or relaxation, the evil thoughts hidden in the subconscious can effectively avoid the examination of the brain, appear in the consciousness, and appear in a complex form, which is why we often have some dreams that we feel incredible when we wake up.
We have to admit that there are many desires in human nature that are contrary to public order and good customs, and although these can be suppressed, their own energy has not disappeared, it will still remain in the human body, and as soon as they find the right time, they will try their best to rush to consciousness.
Therefore, dreams actually imply the root cause of many of our psychological problems, and analyzing dreams can make us know more about ourselves, so as to explore the path of self-improvement.
Freud divided dreams into two aspects:
Manifest meaning
Implicit meaning
The former, the content of the dream, comes from a vague impression of life in recent days and is usually easier to recall. The latter are dreams that appear in obscure forms after being cleverly disguised, and they often imply unexpected essences.
When we study the dream and the deep meaning behind it, we will find that we are so unbearable in the depths of our hearts.
The forms of objects that are usually repressed are very complex, because they maintain a vague connection with repressed desires on the one hand, and conform to the examination mechanism of the brain on the other hand, in order to smoothly enter the level of consciousness from the subconscious.
Freud once analyzed the case of a dream in which a young man dreamed of his father a few years ago, and the surface form of the dream was as follows: After his father died, he was dug up again, and his face was sick. The father continues to live, and he tries his best to stop the father... Then I dreamed of something else.
The death of his father is a known fact for the dreamer, but it is not consistent with the facts when it is excavated. But the dreamer mentions that one of his teeth began to hurt after returning from his father's funeral.
So he went to the doctor and tried to pull the tooth out, but the doctor said no need to pull it out, I put the medicine into the tooth to kill the subdial nerve, and you can take the medicine out in three days.
The dreamer thinks that taking out and "digging out" the sick tooth has some kind of common meaning.
But this is not the whole truth, the dreamer mentions his relationship with his father, who had been lying ill for a long time before his death, and he had to bear the huge medical expenses and spend a lot of energy to take care of.
He professed to be a wholehearted servant of his sick father in accordance with the Jewish concept of filial piety. However, he had confused his father with his teeth, and on the one hand he wanted to pursue the principle of Jewish filial piety, on the other hand, he imagined treating broken teeth, hoping that his seriously ill father would end his life as soon as possible.
In fact, his ideas are very common, and people in a similar state will hope that the patient will end his life quickly, so as to reduce his burden, but morality usually prevents us from having such thoughts, and only in the dream this part of the deep subconscious will appear in various forms.
And the dreamer has a certain degree of hostility towards his father in the dream, although there is no clear expression of resentment, but Freud explains that tracing his resentment towards his father in adolescence, it can be seen that he is afraid of his father, because he is always found and prevented by his father when he masturbates during adolescence.
"He has a sick face" alludes to his excessive indulgence in adolescence, and reveals a sick appearance, but in the dream this sick appearance turns from himself to his father.
Therefore, the principle of running dreams is mysterious and interesting, and the dreamer can never imagine that his heart is like this before he has analyzed it.
Through the analysis of dreams, we can find a lot of hidden desires in our hearts, of course, these desires are good and bad, and the analysis and understanding is not to blame ourselves, but to find the direction of the real light.
It can be seen that from a psychological point of view, dreams are not necessarily another parallel time and space, but dreams are indeed the outpouring of people's subconscious.
