The number one fierce general of the Mongol Empire, conquering nearly half the world, Genghis Khan said: He is just my dog

We read all the lead to present a different history.

In the nearly half-century military career of Genghis Khan, he successively completed the feats of unifying Mongolia, weakening the Jin Dynasty, destroying Western Xia, and conquering Central Asia, making the Mongol Khanate a large empire spanning two continents, Europe and Asia. The reason why Genghis Khan was able to achieve such impressive and brilliant results, in addition to his outstanding military ability, also had a lot to do with the assistance of a large group of strategists and famous generals, the best of which was subutai, who was known as the number one fierce general of Mongolia and conquered nearly half the world.

Subutai, of the Mongol Wuliang hash, son of Za'er Chi Wudai, younger brother of the famous Mongol general Zhelezhi, was born in 1176. Za'er Chi Wu Dai and Genghis Khan's father should also be good, and when Temujin was still in his infancy, he promised to let Zhele Zhen and Subutai serve him. Therefore, after the First Pass of the Jeler brothers, they were sent to Temujin as a waiter and playmate. The Jeler brothers are similar in age and like-minded to Temujin, and gradually become close friends for a lifetime in the process of getting along day and night.

During the Mongol unification war, the Zhele brothers often served as forwards, because Xiao Yong was good at war and had great achievements in battle, and together with the fierce generals Tetsubetsu and Kublai, he was often called "Four Dogs" by Temujin. Temujin's addressing of Subutai and others as dogs is not derogatory, but praises them for their loyalty and bravery, and is the most reliable general around him. After the establishment of the Mongol Khanate (1208), Subutai was named the head of a thousand households for his merits, and was listed among the top ten meritorious men.

Between 1211 and 1215, Genghis Khan took advantage of the internal strife of the Jin Dynasty to raise an army to invade the south, subutai as a forward general, and successively broke dozens of cities, especially the battle to capture Huanzhou (the seat of government in present-day northwest of Zhenglanqi, Inner Mongolia) was the most brilliant, so he was given a car of gold, which made other generals envious ("From Taizu to cut gold, attack Huanzhou, first climb, pull up its city, and give a car of gold." See New YuanShi, Vol. 122).

After the war against the Jin Dynasty was over, Subutai was ordered to fight against the remnants of the beggars who had fled west of the Wu'er. Subutai was well aware of the enemy's insidiousness, so he ordered the forward Ali to carry a stroller each when he traveled to the army, and deliberately placed them in the nomadic area of the beggars. Before dawn, Ali ordered his men to retreat and leave the stroller behind to create the illusion of fleeing with his family. The contemptuous beggars did not know the plan, and indeed they poured out of the nest, and as a result, they were surrounded and annihilated by the main force of Subutai at the Chu River (Chu River), and almost the entire army was destroyed.

In 1219, Genghis Khan made an expedition to the Central Asian power of Huarazimo, and Subutai and Zhebei acted as forwards, successively capturing the cities of Samargan, Youshabu'er, Yisi Falain, Tamhan, Ximo Niang, and Lieyi, forcing the Sultan Of Huarazimo to flee into a small island in the Kuantian Jisi Sea (present-day Caspian Sea), where he soon fell ill and died.

After Mahamad's death, Subutai and Jebetsu attacked the Chincha people to the west, and at the Battle of the Calgarga River (1223), they defeated the combined forces of Chincha and Choros (i.e., Russia, which was divided into dozens of large and small principalities), killing 80,000 enemy troops, and executing 6 princes and 70 nobles including the Grand Duke of Kievan Rus' Mstislav Romanovich, shocking the whole of Eastern Europe. After the Battle of the Calgarh River, Subutai led an army to sweep a large area of Southern Rus' and occupied Transcaucasia and the Crimean Peninsula, and was not ordered to return east until the end of the year.

In 1226, Subutai's entourage Genghis Khan went out on a campaign against Western Xia, and successively attacked the Jin and Simen departments of Sali wu'er, as well as the prefectures of Deshun, Rong, Lan, Hui, Tao, and He, and played a great role in the Mongol campaign against Xia. After the death of Genghis Khan (1227), Subutai pledged allegiance to his successor, the Great Khan Wokoutai, and successfully married Princess Bald, becoming a donkey of the Mongol Empire. From 1230 onwards, Wo Kuotai repeatedly led the army to cut gold, and Su butai served as a forward, successively participating in the Battle of Tongguan, the Battle of Sanfeng Mountain, and the Battle of Kaifeng, and made great achievements for the Mongol annihilation of Jin.

In the Battle of Sanfeng Mountain, in order to break the will of the Jin soldiers, Su Butai held a barbecue banquet with his subordinates at the Shangfengkou, deliberately causing the aroma to drift downwind to the lower wind, so that the morale of the starving Jinbing was greatly weakened. After drinking and eating, Subutai launched an attack, but at the same time deliberately opened a side in order to let the Jin soldiers rush to seize the road and flee. Taking advantage of the chaos in the Jin army, Subutai launched an all-out attack, annihilating 350,000 enemy troops in the first battle, and making their bones pile up all over the valley. After this battle, the military genius of Subutai was vividly displayed.

The year after the fall of the Jin Dynasty (1235), the agitated Chincha people re-allied with TheUrus in an attempt to retake the Chincha Steppe and Southern Rus' again. In order to completely eliminate the hidden dangers, Wokoutai sent the kings Batu, Guiyou, Möngke and others to lead an army to the west, and took the veteran general Su Butai, who was aware of the military machine and had the courage, as the forward. In the winter of 1236-1237, the Mongol armies slaughtered the Principalities of Ryazan, Vladimir, Kiev, and the ministries of Aran, Chincha, Bulta, and Mordovia, and then attacked Eastern and Southern Europe to the west.

In the war against Poland and Hungary, the seventy-year-old Subutai, because of his fat body and inability to ride on horses, could only sit on an iron cart to direct the battle, but even so, he still showed a military talent that made the enemy afraid. Subutai advocates "blitzkrieg", and at the same time plays the tactic of "encircling three and missing one" when attacking, so it can quickly annihilate the enemy army and make the other side powerless. In the second western expedition, the Mongol army fought all the way to the Adriatic coast, just one step away from capturing Rome and annexing Italy.

However, just as Subutai and others were preparing to cross the sea, the news of the collapse of the Great Khan's Nest Kuotai due to excessive alcoholism reached the front line, and Batu, Möngke and others had to lead their troops back to the east, in 1242. After Wokoutai's death, the Mongol Empire fell into more than a decade of civil strife and was no longer able to carry out a large-scale western expedition, and Subutai ended his career as a horseman and spent the rest of his life in the fiefdom of the Bald River (present-day Tula River, Mongolia).

In his military career of more than 50 years, he was as far as Goryeo in the east, Poland and Hungary in the west, Siberia in the north, and Kaifeng in the south, covering nearly half of the known world, and was the most extensive general in the ancient history of the world. In this vast war zone, whether it is the iron horses of the Jin Dynasty and the Western Xia, or the war elephants of Persia and Central Asia, or the heavily armored knights of Russia and Eastern Europe, they were ruthlessly destroyed by the powerful troops of Subutai, and hundreds of fortified cities were turned into powder in front of him, which was the number one fierce general of the Mongol Empire.

In 1248, Subutai died of illness at the age of 73. After his death, Su buttai received high honors, and was not only posthumously honored as the king of Henan by Kublai Khan, the ancestor of the Yuan Dynasty, but also invited to the Wu Temple, and was worshiped by the world with "military gods" such as Bai Qi and Li Jing. Not only that, the military concept of "blitzkrieg" in Subutai has also been respected by Western militarists, and even the famous German general Manstein during World War II is his loyal "fan", which shows the important position of the latter in the history of the world army.
