In China, because we have a long history, our cultural development is also very prosperous, we will hear some sayings in life, these sayings also bring us a lot of life experience, then there are some stories and backgrounds behind these sayings. I believe that everyone has heard of such a saying: "Born in Suzhou and Hangzhou, buried in Beiqi." ”
Through this saying, we can see that the status of Mount Yao in the hearts of the ancients is very high. I don't know if you have heard of it: "Drive the horse north of the plains, hesitate and hesitate." This kind of poem about Mount Yao, for Mount Yao, even the ancients praised him very much. Mount Yao can be said to be a very famous place, in the history of our country, do not check it, there are also twenty-four emperors buried in the mountain.

Shan
The density of imperial tombs, as well as the sheer number and age of the imperial tombs, is unattainable in other places. Among these mausoleum groups, the mausoleum group on Luoyang Mountain covers an area of 750 square kilometers, and the number of tombs that have been discovered has reached more than 970. But there are only about three hundred and thirty surviving, and about two-thirds of the mausoleums have disappeared into the course of history with the continuous development of time.
I believe that everyone does not know much about Mt. Yaoshan, right? The terrain is very open, about 150 meters above the Yellow River and the Luo River, at the junction of the Yellow River and the Luo River. Such a geographical location can be said to be an absolute feng shui treasure. Moreover, there is a soil layer of about fifteen meters under the mountain, the water infiltration rate is very low, the adhesion is good, the soil is tight and dense, and it is particularly suitable for the construction of mausoleums.
From here, we can see that the terrain and geographical location of The Mountain are very good, but why do we call it the "Land of the Dead"? You know, on the vast loess plateau, there are many feng shui treasures like Mount Yao, but will mount the mountains so favored?
It is said that when Liu Xiu, the Guangwu Emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty, built the mausoleum, he used the Basing Tomb where Emperor Wen of the Western Han Dynasty and Empress Dou were buried together, but he also changed the overmolding type of the Western Han Tombs in the past, with the mountain as the mausoleum. It is worth mentioning that he also attracted natural water from other places, so that the mausoleum and the surrounding environment are perfectly integrated, so that the probability of the stolen tomb being found is also much smaller, it can be said that the ancients did have great wisdom.
If we look at it from another aspect, this seems to be in some way in line with the Huang Lao doctrine, that is, advocating quiet inaction and returning to nature. More coincidentally, it coincides with the feng shui theory contained in Guo Pu's "Book of Burial" of the Jin Dynasty. This also led to the feng shui theory based on Eastern Han Taoism, so that The Mountain became a sacred place in the minds of feng shui masters of all dynasties and generations.
If we have carefully studied ancient history, then we will find that mountains mean thick, water means flexible, mountains are yang, water is yin, and Mt. Yao is located in the tributary of Kunshan Mountain, on the south bank of the Yellow River, and the Luohe and Yi rivers join the junction of the Yellow River. Then for Luoyang, it is a mountain and water and pillow mountain pedaling river, so that the ancients called Luoyang "mountain and river arch wear, the situation A in the world", The North Mountain borrows the terrain of Luoyang, in fact, it is because of this factor.
Next we want to talk about a very important factor about the mountain is feng shui, feng shui in the history of our country can be said to be very long, feng shui another nickname is also called Qingwu shu, Qing sac technique, the more academic saying is called Kanyu. As for its true role, we can't verify it, after all, feng shui is only a difficult to empirical system of ideas, and not all emperors are buried here. Therefore, if you want to analyze the tomb phenomenon of Mount Yao from a relatively "objective" point of view, you must start from the identity of the thousand-year-old imperial capital of Luoyang.
For Luoyang, I believe that everyone has a certain understanding of him, many dynasties have taken this place as the capital, and we are also accustomed to calling Luoyang the capital of Shendu. From the Zhou Dynasty to the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Wei, Western Jin Dynasty, Northern Wei, Sui, Tang, Later Liang, Later Tang and other dynasties took this as their capital, which lasted for more than 1300 years.
And geographically speaking, Luoyang is also a place where soldiers must fight, here is the Tiger Prison Pass in the east, outside is the endless North China Plain, the west is the Kunshan Mountain, Hangu Pass is the throat of the Guanzhong Plain, and in the north is the Yellow River, and the two mountains of the Taihang King's House. Thanks to this, you can hold Guanlong in the west, Jianghuai in the east, Youyan in the north, and Jingchu in the south. Not only that, luoyang's environment is also very suitable for people to live. Luoyang here is relatively mild, very suitable for the growth of crops, conducive to the development of agriculture and handicrafts, so, for thousands of years, here people are latticulated, culture is very developed.
However, although the number of mausoleums on the mountain is very large and concentrated, many scholars' research has stopped halfway, why is this? The reason why we investigate it is because of the war since the Eastern Han Dynasty, which has led to the lack of many historical materials. Now, it is difficult to find a sufficient number of well-documented historical materials to carry out auxiliary research.
Although this is the case, many historians have also reached some conclusions after a long period of research and investigation, and it has been determined that the mountain buried the tombs of 24 emperors of the Eastern Zhou, Eastern Han, Cao Wei, Western Jin, Northern Wei, and Later Tang Dynasties and their funerary tombs. In addition, at the beginning of 2008, the "Eastern Han Dynasty Emperor Mausoleum and Qiushan Mausoleum Group" was listed as one of the top ten archaeological discoveries in China in 2007.
It can be seen from this that Mount Yao can really be called the "hometown of the dead". But these mausoleum groups also face a very important problem, that is, protection. After the investigation of the cultural relics department, seven or eight ancient tombs are disappearing every year, and the reason for the disappearance is nothing more than industrial production, people's lives, and natural destruction. For example, in order to cultivate the land, the people will "eat" the Ōtsuka little by little, and only one village in Zhujiacang Village, the original more than 100 tombs have been suddenly reduced to more than 10.
Therefore, I think the main problem for these mausoleum groups at the moment is how to protect them well, because we can get a lot of historical information from here, which is very effective for our historical research!
Conclusion: For Mt. Yaoshan, I believe that there are a lot of historical sites here, and it is also a place worth visiting, if we can better protect it and dig deeper on the basis of its original, I believe we can explain more historical mysteries that have puzzled us for a long time. This is undoubtedly a more valuable asset for us!
