Among them, the annual sales of autonomous passenger cars were 525,000 units, an increase of 27% year-on-year; the sales of new energy vehicles were 192,000 units, an increase of 2.4 times year-on-year, ranking fourth in the industry; overseas exports reached a new high, achieving sales of 144,000 units, an increase of 1.4 times. The sales and export volume of independent passenger cars and new energy vehicles have outperformed the market, and dongfeng's "14th Five-Year Plan" has made a good start.
Autonomous sector: there is a breakthrough in multiplying the business and lifting
It is reported that in the independent business, Dongfeng Company takes advantage of the business at the same time. In 2021, Dongfeng Company will promote the "Oriental Wind Rise" plan and build a business pattern of "one main and two wings". Among them, "one main" is the vehicle business, and "two wings" is the technology sector and service ecology. At the same time, Dongfeng has also set three "one million" targets, and by 2025, the sales of commercial vehicles, autonomous passenger cars and new energy vehicles will reach 1 million units.
Under the guidance of the "Oriental Wind Rise" plan, Dongfeng focuses on creating Lantu, Dongfeng Fengshen and high-end electric off-road brands. Among them, the first model of Lantu Automobile, Lantu FREE, started delivery on August 8, and the cumulative annual delivery volume is expected to exceed 7,000 vehicles. At the same time, the research and development and industrialization of the new high-end brand M business products positioned as the "leader of high-end electric off-road culture" has been fully launched and is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2022. The new M business and Lantu Automobile will be the high-end "fresh force" of Dongfeng Dongfeng's independent passenger car business on the track of new energy and intelligent networking.
In addition, Dongfeng Fengshen continues to carry out a young layout. On November 22, Dongfeng Fengshen's 100,000th new car of the year rolled off the production line. According to the data, Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Company's sales exceeded 10,000 for seven consecutive months, with a cumulative sales of 120,000 vehicles, an increase of 71% year-on-year.
In the field of commercial vehicles, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company maintained a leading market share of China VI products, achieving sales of 177,000 units; Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. achieved sales of 182,000 units, an increase of 5.4% year-on-year; Dongfeng Liuqi Commercial Vehicles achieved sales of 78,000 units; Dongfeng Special Merchants achieved sales of 28,000 units, an increase of 5.9% year-on-year; Zhengzhou Nissan pickup truck market share increased, achieving sales of 53,000 units, an increase of 19.4%.
In terms of overseas export business, Dongfeng achieved sales of 144,000 units in 2021, an increase of 1.4 times year-on-year. On December 20, 200 Dongfeng Fengshen Yixuan and AX7 were exported to Saudi Arabia and expedition overseas. Dongfeng EasyJet launched pure electric models for the European market.
Core technology: R & D investment will reach 100 billion yuan

According to reports, the current modular, platform-based and serialized development of independent brands is advancing. In 2021, Dongfeng's autonomous passenger car and commercial vehicle vehicle and engine platforms will accelerate construction, laying the foundation for the full realization of electrification of the main brand in 2024; the commercial vehicle platform covers four major areas such as medium and heavy trucks, light trucks, pickup trucks, and VAN vehicles, to meet the trend of high-end, vehicle modularization and integration in the future commercial vehicle market; and the C15TDR engine and DCT transmission of the leading power technology of the independent passenger car "Mach" will achieve mass production.
Dongfeng has also ushered in new breakthroughs in a number of technologies in digital intelligence. In the layout of the "three electricities" of the core of new energy, Dongfeng New Energy Industrial Park has built the operation capacity of 400,000 sets of electronic control, 200,000 sets of flat line motors, 280,000 sets of electric drive assemblies, 100,000 sets of battery systems, and 300,000 IGBT modules. In terms of hybrid power, Dongfeng's completely independent hd120 hybrid electric drivetrain has achieved mass production. In terms of pure electric, the self-developed ID series electric drive assembly is mass-produced and applied in Fengshen, Lantu and other models, and the next generation of key core technologies such as 800V high-voltage platform, wireless charging, and solid-state batteries are laid out. On the main battlefield of "double carbon", Dongfeng has also achieved a breakthrough in hydrogen energy. At present, Dongfeng has completed the development of 50kW, 80kW and 120kW fuel cell systems, and developed the first mass-produced full-power fuel cell passenger car In China, Dongfeng "Hydrogen Boat", and hydrogen fuel commercial vehicles have achieved industrial operation.
In the field of intelligent driving, in 2021, Dongfeng L2 level automatic driving technology will achieve mass production, taking the lead in laying out L4 level automatic driving technology for limited areas. Dongfeng Yuexiang driverless smart park products have been demonstrated and operated in more than 30 cities across the country, such as Xiong'an New District and Wuhan Junshan New Town. More than 100 Robotaxi units of the Dongfeng Pilot Project are in public road demonstration operation, with a cumulative mileage of more than 2 million kilometers. Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle L4 driverless collection card completed the upgrade of version 3.0, realized the delivery and operation of bulk commercial vehicles in Xiamen Port, and accelerated the industrialization of intelligent and connected vehicles. It is reported that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Dongfeng's R&D investment will increase to 100 billion yuan.
Build a new ecosystem of the industrial chain
In 2021, Dongfeng Company will also strengthen the open cooperation of the industrial chain and innovation chain to build a new ecosystem. Recently, the signing ceremony of the battery bank project invested by Dongfeng Company, China FAW, China Three Gorges and Wuhan Economic Development Zone was held in Wuhan, which will comprehensively verify the business model of battery banking. The Dongfeng Autonomous Driving Pilot Project led by Dongfeng Company and Wuhan Development Zone, and the strategic cooperation between Dongfeng Company and Sino-Xinke in the fields of core automotive components and intelligent driving have also been promoted. Dongfeng also reached strategic cooperation with COSCO SHIPPING and China Mobile in the field of 5G smart port unmanned driving, sinopec in the field of hydrogen fuel vehicles and hydrogen energy industry chain, and with the Foshan Municipal Government on the demonstration operation of Dongfeng "hydrogen boat" hydrogen energy vehicles.
