This is the first time that the "100 Most Influential Companies" list has been launched in the Time Magazine Top 100 series, aiming to explore those companies that "shape the future of mankind". The list focuses on the leading enterprises with extraordinary influence in the fields of healthcare, entertainment, transportation, technology and other fields in the world, and conducts a comprehensive assessment of each company's relevance, influence, innovation, leadership, strategic thinking and achievements, and finally selects 100 companies on the list.

Time magazine believes that China's auto market is the world's largest auto market, competition in the electric vehicle industry has begun, and BYD is moving at full speed under its "Scaling Electric Transport" strategy. Time Magazine recognized BYD's achievements in the global electric bus business and introduced BYD's continuous efforts in the passenger car field, including the hot sales of the luxury car "Han" launched in July last year. The list also mentions BYD's operations in the United States and Europe, as well as the cooperation business that helped create Japan's first pure electric bus ring line.

Li Ke, Executive Vice President of BYD and General Manager of The Americas Automotive Sales Division, said: "It is a great honor for BYD's efforts in the global transportation industry to be recognized by Time Magazine. Our innovative technologies in cars, buses, trucks, forklifts, and rail businesses are not only helping countries address climate change, but also creating new jobs for the region. We are proud to be a leader and opinion leader in the new energy industry. ”

The determination of countries around the world to address climate change is growing. Last year, China set the goal of "striving for carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060" and the goal of fully electrifying public vehicles by 2035. At present, 17 countries and 25 cities around the world have announced or formulated a timetable for the full electrification of vehicles.

Up to now, BYD has delivered more than 65,000 pure electric buses to the world, and the footprint of new energy vehicles has spread to more than 300 cities in more than 50 countries and regions around the world, realizing the strategic layout of six continents around the world. Overseas, with reliable products and high-quality after-sales service, BYD has successfully won the recognition and trust of many developed markets including Germany, the United States, Japan and South Korea.

Today, BYD has taken practical actions to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 9 million tons worldwide, which is equivalent to planting more than 700 million trees. In the future, BYD will continue to uphold the original intention of "using technological innovation to meet people's yearning for a better life", with the sense of social responsibility and responsibility of international enterprises, bring together the strong synergy of sustainable development, jointly promote the construction of a global green travel system, promote the development of a low-carbon society, and respond to the Paris Agreement with practical actions to help countries around the world achieve emission reduction targets and control air pollution.
