It was the 22nd Battalion of the 206th Brigade of the Jin Sui Army who fought with Liu Zhidan's troops, and the battalion commander was named Shi Zebo, and it was precisely by virtue of this merit that Shi Zebo was promoted to the commander of the 412th Regiment of the Independent Brigade of the Jin Sui Army.
It can be said that Shi Zebo was the murderer of Liu Zhidan, but just after Shi Zebo became the commander of the regiment, the Japanese army launched the Lugou Bridge Incident, and Shi Zebo was transferred to the 2nd Regiment of the Independent 2nd Brigade of the 19th Army to the north of Shanxi to meet the Japanese army.
Shi Zebo successively engaged the Japanese army in Chaigou Fort and other places, hindering the pace of the Japanese attack, and then he also participated in the famous Battle of Xinkou, although the Chinese soldiers could only end with retreat after 21 days of holding out, but also created a record of annihilating more than 10,000 enemies, and dealt a heavy blow to Japan's arrogance.
After the Battle of Xinkou, Shi Zebo led his troops to participate in the defense of Taiyuan. After the fall of Taiyuan, Shi Zebo's troops fought guerrilla warfare with the Japanese army at Lüliang Mountain, and during the eight-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he was promoted from regimental commander to lieutenant general, relying on large and small battle achievements, and he himself became a famous anti-Japanese general.
In the War of Liberation, his 19th Army was completely annihilated by our army, and Shi Zebo was also captured by our army, although he was the murderer who caused Liu Zhidan's sacrifice, but our army remembered that he had made immortal merits for the War of Resistance, so he was treated with courtesy, and always tried to let him join the ranks of the people, but Shi Zebo felt that Yan Xishan did not treat him thinly, so he refused the kindness of our army. So as not to be suspected. There were also leaders around the area who echoed: When our army liberated Taiyuan, you dug a small hole in the ground to hide it, so as not to be killed by our shells.
After returning to Taiyuan, Shi Zebo was abandoned by Yan Xishan, and after the liberation of Taiyuan, he returned to his hometown to work as a doctor, and it is said that he was still quite famous in the local area, and eventually he lived until he died at the age of 87.
