Sixty percent of the low-temperature environment of new energy vehicles is damaged by at least 30% of the endurance, and experts recommend that air conditioners be turned on less in winter

IT Home December 31 news, today, by the China Automobile Research Institute and new energy vehicles national big data alliance jointly compiled the "China Small New Energy Vehicle Low Temperature Endurance White Paper" in Beijing officially released.

Sixty percent of the low-temperature environment of new energy vehicles is damaged by at least 30% of the endurance, and experts recommend that air conditioners be turned on less in winter

According to the white paper, the low-temperature attenuation data of 53 new energy vehicles at home and abroad in the past 10 years show that during the period from 2012 to 2021, the average value and distribution range of the low-temperature mileage retention rate of new energy vehicles have not changed significantly, and the mileage retention rate of 65.38% of new energy vehicles in low-temperature environments is about 52.8% to 67.2%. In other words, more than 60% of the new energy vehicles in the low temperature environment of the endurance loss rate of more than 30%.

Wang Peng, head of the new energy evaluation regulations of China Automobile Research Institute, said that in the past two years, industry authorities and experts have paid close attention to the use of new energy vehicles in winter, and put forward a series of suggestions and measures from the aspects of analyzing the essence of the problem, ensuring user use, improving product performance, and strengthening guidance and supervision. He said that through the battery environmental resistance charge and discharge curve, it can be seen that the low temperature environment has a very significant impact on the usable capacity and charging and discharging performance of the battery. The low temperature attenuation characteristics of the battery cannot be avoided and are an important factor affecting the attenuation of the vehicle's mileage.

IT Home learned that in response to the response measures for new energy vehicles in winter, Wang Peng suggested: First, it is necessary to use air conditioning reasonably, it is recommended to use seat heating instead of using air conditioning; second, the vehicle is preheated in advance; the third is placed in a suitable parking place, and the new energy vehicle is parked in the garage as much as possible to reduce the impact of low temperature on the discharge of the power battery; the fourth is appropriate charging habits, develop the habit of charging with the use, and avoid excessive discharge; fifth, good driving habits, develop soft winter driving habits, and avoid rapid acceleration and deceleration. Increased braking energy recovery.
