On April 21, 1949, our army gathered a million troops to launch the Battle of Crossing the River, which completely destroyed the Yangtze River defense line of the Nationalist army and liberated Nanjing. Immediately afterward, the People's Liberation Army advanced all the way south, successively liberating Hangzhou, Nanchang and other places. On May 12 of the same year, our army launched the Shanghai Campaign again, and after 16 days of bloody struggle, our army annihilated more than 150,000 enemy troops, completely liberated the international city of Shanghai at that time, smashed the conspiracy of the Nationalist army to take advantage of Shanghai's strong fortifications and favorable terrain, and combined with the continued stubborn resistance of the navy, army and air force, in an attempt to provoke international events.

The liberation of Shanghai also created favorable conditions for the restoration and development of the national economy, and in the Battle of Shanghai, Song Shilun, who was then the commander of the Sanye 9th Corps, commanded the troops to quickly intersperse in multiple ways and take the lead in attacking the downtown area of Shanghai. After the liberation of Shanghai, Song Shilun was ordered to concurrently serve as the commander of the Songhu Garrison District, at that time, after Song Shilun entered Shanghai, he specially invited Shanghai businesswoman Dong Zhujun to dinner, thanking her for her help in her most difficult time.
Dong Zhujun, born in 1900 in a slum in Shanghai, although her parents were poor, but still sent her to a private school to study, but later because her father was seriously ill, she had no choice but to mortgage Dong Zhujun to the Qinglou as a "Cleaner". Two years later, Dong Zhujun pretended to be ill and escaped from the Qinglou, and married the revolutionary Xia Shi, after marriage, under the arrangement of Xia Shi, Dong Zhujun went to Japan to study, in 1919, due to the problem of factional fighting, Xia Shi was removed from his post, and his temper became worse and worse, and in the three months that Dong Zhujun was ill, Xia Shi never visited her in the hospital.
In 1929, as the contradictions between the husband and wife deepened, the two began a five-year separation life (the two divorced five years later), and it was during this time that Dong Zhujun became acquainted with Song Shilun, who was arrested and imprisoned for participating in revolutionary activities, and then released on bail. At that time, after Song Shilun came out of prison, he came to Shanghai to find the party organization, but unfortunately, Song Shilun, who had just arrived in Shanghai, was stolen by pickpockets.
Since the party organization has not been found, Song Shilun plans to continue to search for Wuhan, because there is no money in hand, under the introduction of his fellow prisoner Li Tangcao, Song Shilun found Dong Zhujun, a mall upstart who has begun to make a name for himself in Shanghai. After seeing Li Tangcao's introduction letter, Dong Zhujun did not say a word and took out a sum of money to give the song shilun who met for the first time in front of him, and Song Shilun did not think that he was a down-and-out youth, and Dong Zhujun was also meeting for the first time, and she actually decided to help herself as a stranger.
Without saying a word of thanks, Song Shilun, who had received the money for the road fare, immediately set off for Wuhan, successfully found the party organization, and in many battles, grew from an unknown pawn to a senior general. And Dong Zhujun also played a piece of his own in the Shanghai shopping mall! The Jinjiang Chuan Restaurant she founded was very popular in Shanghai Beach, and the "Three Tycoons of Shanghai" Du Yuesheng, Jin Jinrong and Zhang Xiaolin were all regular customers here, and government officials from Shanghai and Nanjing often visited the place, and over time, the Jinjiang Chuan Restaurant became a high-level place, taken care of by the magnates of all sides.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Dong Zhujun, in accordance with the policy of public-private partnership, took the Jinjiang Sichuan Restaurant as the team, and with the help of the government, founded the first Jinjiang Hotel in Shanghai that could receive state guests, and handed over his residence and deposits to the state. In 1997, Dong Zhujun died of illness at the age of 97.
