Du Yuesheng's heroic peak, destroying his family to relieve difficulties, desperately stood on the front line of the Shanghai War of Resistance

Last time, Du Yuesheng dug Dai Kasa out of the Shanghai gangsters and gave him a sum of money to study at the Whampoa Military Academy, Dai Kasa had a big ups and downs in his life, Du Yuesheng was the biggest backing behind him, and Dai Yuesheng also did his best to give Du Yuesheng the return he deserved.

In that chaotic era, there were more businessmen who speculated and made money in the country, and there were more gangsters and bandits who were doing business of pornography, gambling and drugs, and collecting black money, not to mention that Du Yuesheng was still carrying several murders.

Many people want to find "success learning" in Du Yuesheng, in fact, in terms of "wealth", there are many people who will make money than Du Yuesheng, but only Du Yuesheng has left a name, and he is still respected today, because his contributions in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression can be recorded in the annals of history.

Du Yuesheng's original position in Shanghai was already deeply rooted, and coupled with the "marriage relationship" with the Nationalist government later, it had an unprecedented influence, but Du Yuesheng still maintained a low-key quality and was willing to be Chiang Kai-shek's white glove.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Du Yuesheng participated in the Shanghai Anti-Japanese Support Association, held various official positions, was so busy that he could hardly manage his own business, and raised donations and materials every day.

He once paid more than 10,000 yuan to buy Zhang Fakui an armored car to support the anti-war work, but Zhang Fakui did not even know who sent it, and the two had not even met. Until the end of the Anti-Japanese War, the two met for the first time, and the people next to him told Zhang Fakui that the car he was sitting in was still du Yuesheng's private sponsorship, and Zhang Fakui was very surprised.

How much Money Du Yuesheng spent for the army and the country during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is probably not even his own estimate. After the fall of Shanghai, the Japanese fleet wanted to withdraw from Shanghai, and it was Du Yuesheng who led this steamship merchant to sink all the family foundations in the Jiangyin section, for which Du Yuesheng's most profitable Dada Steamship Company became an empty shell at the peak of development. Chiang Kai-shek originally planned to block the Japanese fleet in Jiangyin and then sneak attack it with the air force, but this plan was betrayed to the Japanese by the traitor Huang Qiuyue, and the Japanese fleet fled overnight, destroying so many freighters in vain.

Du Yuesheng was indeed close to Lao Jiang and was also good friends with Dai Kasa, but during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, as long as he was a soldier standing on the front line of the War of Resistance, Du Yuesheng had unreserved support. Pan Hannian, the representative of the Eighth Route Army stationed in Shanghai, once received an imported former gas mask from Du Yuesheng, and when Xie Jinyuan's regiment was in short supply, Shi Du Yuesheng sent them 200,000 cakes in one day. In order to do anti-Japanese propaganda, he purchased a large number of "Lu Xun's Complete Works" and "Journey to the West" and gave them to the people in the concession.

Du Yuesheng gave his house to the Ministry of Finance as a temporary office, and in the midst of the war crisis, he traveled around, raising more than 1.5 million yuan in donations and selling 75 million yuan of national debt for the salvation of the country, accounting for one-sixth of the total amount of issuance.

Du Yuesheng was a very righteous and brotherly man, and at that time, he was almost fighting the Japanese with the strength of the Green Gang. His protégés formed an Einsatzgruppen, and also contributed to the Battle of Songhu, killing and injuring many people.

Du Yuesheng's contribution in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression was not limited to this, he had successfully plotted against two of Wang Jingwei's henchmen and tore off all of Wang Jingwei's false masks.

Gao Zongwu, who had studied in Japan, was the representative of the think tank under Wang Jingwei who could best grasp the psychology of the Japanese people, Tao Xisheng, wang Jingwei's pen holder, and served as the head of the Propaganda Department under him.

In 1939, after Wang Jingwei established the Wang puppet regime, he signed the "Japan-Wang Secret Treaty" with Japan. Of course, Chiang Kai-shek did not fight Against Wang Jingwei's rebellion, and although he fought several times in peacetime, it was limited to internal conflicts, but Wang Jingwei was so "treasonous" under the guise of "saving the country," and Chiang Kai-shek did not expect him to be so shameless.

After the fall of Shanghai, in order to avoid Du Yuesheng becoming a pawn of the Japanese, the old Jiang asked Du Yuesheng to take refuge in Hong Kong. This time to rectify Wang Jingwei, old Jiang Si still had to have Du Yuesheng out of the horse, so he called him to Chongqing.

Just when Du Yuesheng had already received Tao Xisheng's secret letter, he had already realized the seriousness of the problem when Wang Jingwei and the "Mei Organ" discussed and signed the secret treaty, and was extremely disappointed in Wang Jingwei, seriously stating that he was unwilling to participate in such memories. Also feeling the crisis was Gao Zongwu, who participated in the negotiations, and he took home all the original manuscripts of the "Outline for the Adjustment of The New Relations between Japan and China" and its annexes, and let his wife take pictures and leave evidence.

The two already harbored a rebellious heart and began to ask their friends for help, and later Gao Zongwu's friends found Xu Jiyu, the chairman of Industrial Bank, and asked him to bring a message to Du Yuesheng. Du Yuesheng told Chiang Kai-shek the good news in a timely manner, and with Chiang Kai-shek's approval, he personally went to Hong Kong to launch a rescue.

It was the night of the signing of the contract that both of them did not reach the scene for some reason, and in the evening they secretly discussed breaking away from the Wang pseudo organization. Only 9 days later, Du Yuesheng's confidant Wan Molin secretly sent the two away, and all their families had been transferred in advance, without leaking.

Later, Gao Zongwu's wife gave Du Yuesheng the secret contract she had taken, and Du Yuesheng was overjoyed and quickly told Chiang Kai-shek that Chiang Kai-shek's diary that day read: "

Emperor Gaozong sent Du Yuesheng to inform with the secret treaty made between Wang Rebellion and Wu Kou, the contents of the negotiations with him, and his photographic negatives... I can't imagine that the truth of Wang's rebellion and betrayal of the country is so far... It's a pig or a dog.

Soon under the operation of Du Yuesheng, this secret agreement was published in Hong Kong's "Ta Kung Pao", and then the secret agreement was published in major publications across the country, dealing a heavy blow to the Wang puppet regime.

This matter was successfully resolved, known in history as the "Gao Tao Incident", but Wan Molin was captured by the Wang puppet government because of this incident, and severely tortured, and Du Yuesheng joined forces with 53 commercial houses to rescue him. And Du Yuesheng himself was almost chased by the Japanese fighters in this rescue, and the pilot had to raise the plane in order to avoid the Japanese plane, because Du Yuesheng himself had severe asthma, and he almost died in this disaster. Since then, Du Yuesheng's health has deteriorated.

In fact, no matter how much he lost, Du Yuesheng had no regrets. It was only after Zhang Xiaolin rebelled and became a traitor that Du Yuesheng acquiesced to his protégé assassinating Zhang Xiaolin, and whether this matter was right or wrong, history had already concluded. But for Du Yuesheng, seeing his brother killed for decades, he could never get past this hurdle in his heart.

After the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Du Yuesheng returned to Shanhai, and he was always reluctant to go to the Du Mansion, which was very similar to Zhang Mansion, because he was afraid that he would regret and regret Zhang Xiaolin for the rest of his life.

Everything Du Yuesheng did for the anti-Japanese resistance could not be erased by time. However, after using Du Yuesheng's old Jiang, he was gradually alienating and isolating him. Du Yuesheng had thought that after the Anti-Japanese War, Chiang Kai-shek would at least give him an official and a half-post, not to mention that in the central authorities, even if he was a mayor in Shanghai, he would be very satisfied. But when he returned to Shanghai, he did not see the "warm welcome" he imagined, but the cold masses, holding banners to overthrow Du Yuesheng's black forces.

Does Du Yue regret it? He never said a word of "remorse" later, but his resentment towards Old Jiang began to take root from this time, which is another story.
