Dong Xun swore an oath: "The terrain of Jiangdong has the solidity of mountains and rivers, and it is the people who rebel against the Ming Dynasty. Begging for the foundation, using life in size, Zhang Zhaobing's many things, attacking and so on as a minion, this place is beneficial to people and time, there is nothing to worry about. Dong Xun's passionate answer made Lady Wu and Sun Quan strengthen their confidence in consolidating the foundation of Jiangdong.
With the assistance of military generals such as Zhang Zhao, Dong Xun, and Zhou Yu, Sun Quan grew up relatively quickly and gradually fully grasped the military and political power of Eastern Wu. During this period, tens of thousands of thieves appeared in Poyang County under Eastern Wu, led by Peng Hu. As the most courageous general of the water army in Jiangdong, Dong Xun made many military achievements and was praised by Chen Shou as "the tiger minister of the river table". Judging from Dong Xun's battle record, his bravery was no worse than that of Gan Ning or Tai Shi Ci and others, and he was worthy of being called the first fierce general of Eastern Wu at that time.
