IT Home December 29 news, according to Reuters reported that Geely Holdings said that its high-end electric vehicle brand Zeekr will produce electric vehicles for Alphabet's self-driving unit Waymo, and will be deployed as driverless taxis across the United States.

Geely said Tuesday the vehicles will be designed and developed at Extreme Kr's plant in Sweden and then integrated with Waymo's self-driving technology. Waymo said it would introduce such cars to U.S. roads "in the next few years."

Waymo's concept art released Tuesday shows a spacious minivan that can accommodate about 5 passengers, with sliding doors on either side that serve as separate entrances.
