There was an anti-Japanese general, who was a general in the Kuomintang army, who made great achievements in battle and won the great victory of Taierzhuang, but he surrendered to the Japanese army in a small battle because he had no way to escape, and even became a traitor to the enemy. This anti-Japanese general was Pang Bingxun.
The historical evaluation of Pang Bingxun is mixed, although he later defected to the enemy, but in the early stage, he really worked hard to defend the motherland as a patriotic warrior. Moreover, Pang Bingxun, who surrendered to the enemy, finally got a good death, and some sources indicate that Pang Bingxun actually listened to the above orders and pretended to surrender to the enemy. Pang Bingxun abandoned his pen early on to become a member of the Qing army, when he was still working as a surveyor in the Qing army because he had read books. Later, when the Xinhai Revolution broke out and the Qing Dynasty was officially overthrown, Pang Bingxun was already a member of the League. However, because he had been a Qing soldier and was suspected by the authorities after the outbreak of the Xinhai Revolution, Pang Bingxun could only return to his hometown to make a living.
Pang Bingxun did a lot of small business and made a lot of money. However, social unrest made it impossible for him to be a businessman who only knew how to make money, so Pang Bingxun, who was 41 years old, joined the army again. He participated in the Zhiwan War and the First Zhifeng War, and made many military achievements. However, in the war, Pang Bingxun was killed by the enemy bravely, and was injured by the shells of the Feng army and almost died. Later, the legs were saved, but I could no longer walk and run like a normal person. However, Pang Bingxun is very strong, and his legs are broken and he runs slower than normal people.
Because Pang Bingxun has made many military achievements, he is favored by many superiors, and his rank has also risen and risen. In the Second Zhifeng War, Pang Bingxun was directly awarded the title of Major General of the Army and the Order of the Wenhu of the Third Class. After that, Pang Bingxun participated in the Northern Expedition again, feeling that wherever there was war, there was him. Before the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Pang Bingxun was awarded the rank of lieutenant general of the army, and later he was also given the rank of general. Originally, Pang Bingxun wanted to do a local job after the end of the civil war and live in peace, after all, he was in his fifties. The Lugou Bridge Incident broke out and completely shattered Pang Bingxun's dream.
The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression officially broke out in full swing, and Pang Bingxun also threw all his enthusiasm into the war. The battle with the Japanese army was very fierce, and Pang Bingxun's men were killed and wounded, and the position was lost. This completely aroused pang bingxun's anger, and later after the outbreak of the Battle of Taierzhuang, Pang Bingxun was desperate to fight the devil. His warriors all fell, and few survived. Pang Bingxun covered the retreat of the warriors, while he himself remained on the battlefield. He said, "Go all the way, I'll stay here and fight the enemy to the end." In the end, Pang Bingxun's reinforcements arrived, and Pang Bingxun and the reinforcements gave the Japanese a heavy blow and won a great victory in Taierzhuang.
Pang Bingxun became famous for this, and he also participated in many battles after that. He was really a general worthy of everyone's respect, but who knew that in 1943, the Japanese army went to war with Pang Bingxun's troops, and in the end, Pang Bingxun's troops were only a few people. They took refuge in the mountains but were denounced by Sun Dianying. After the Japanese found Pang Bingxun, under the coercion and inducement, Pang Bingxun surrendered, and followed the Japanese army to their territory to be entertained by Haosheng.
However, during this period, the Kuomintang contacted Pang Bingxun many times, pang Bingxun was plotted against, originally the Kuomintang was ready to rescue him, and as a result, Pang Bingxun missed the best opportunity, resulting in the failure of the plan. And he also aroused the suspicion of the Japanese, the Japanese army before the war, but also put Pang Bingxun under house arrest, when Pang Bingxun's daughter and son-in-law came to see him in prison, Pang's daughter said: "If you could die generously and martyr for the country, how glorious would it be?" And now it is better to be at the mercy of others to be alive than to die." Her daughter's words poked pang bingxun's heart socket.
At the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 1945, Pang Bingxun called the Kuomintang for the sake of dai sin and meritorious service, and he gave his life for Chiang Kai-shek and prevented the Eighth Route Army from entering the city to surrender to the Japanese army. After Chiang Kai-shek launched another civil war, Pang Bingxun also handed over his military power and subordinates to cooperate with Chiang Kai-shek in the war. As a result, Pang Bingxun fled to Taiwan with his wife and children. After arriving in Taiwan, he and Sun Lianzhong opened restaurants to make a living, and in 1963, Pang Bingxun died of illness in Taipei at the age of 85.
