It was originally built in November 1988 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the martyrdom of General Fan Zhuxian. The museum is located in the southwest corner of the north water mouth of the north street of the ancient city building where General Fan Zhuxian died, with a length of 59.7 meters from north to south, a width of 34 meters from east to west, and an area of 2,040 square meters. There was originally a main exhibition hall in the museum, and the gate opened west on Loubei Avenue.
