It is reported that the total area of the new museum is more than 1,000 square meters, which is nearly three times the area of the old museum, and the whole library is divided into five categories and six spaces, such as children's reading and activities, electronic reading area, and reading staircase. At the same time, the museum can also bring together functions such as book lending, training salon, and cultural display, and realize resource sharing by connecting the venues of the Hongqi Cultural and Sports Center.

According to reports, due to the Hongqi Civic Art Center, where the old museum is located, the surrounding area is more frequently active for residents, and the sound emitted by square dance and other activities will objectively affect reading, which is not conducive to the creation of a high-quality reading environment atmosphere. At present, the collection of books in Hongqi Town Library has increased from 34,000 volumes before the relocation to 42,000 volumes, and will be expanded to 70,000 to 80,000 volumes in the future. In addition, since January 2021, Zhuhai's books have achieved "four-level borrowing and repayment", and the self-service borrowing machines of all public libraries in cities, districts, towns and villages have been networked, continuously allowing high-quality books to circulate at the grass-roots level.
