This family is the Zheng family in Wenchang County. The Zheng family was not wealthy, but in the 1920s, the young men of the family liked to join the army, and the rate of success was extremely high, and a total of 5 brothers became Kuomintang generals before and after, including one general, two lieutenant generals, and two major generals. The most famous is Zheng Jiemin, after Dai Kasa's death in 1945, Zheng Jiemin became the director of the Military Command, that is, the later director of the Ministry of National Defense Secrecy, which can be regarded as the leader of the Kuomintang in the national secret service circle during the Liberation War. Zheng Jiemin has strong organizational ability, rigorous thinking, calm and old spicy, until the Taiwan period was still the old Chiang Kai-shek's confidant, as a military unification agent to the Kuomintang army second-class general (1956, and not posthumous promotion), which is not even Dai Kasa treatment.
Under Zheng Jiemin, two members of the Zheng family were military generals with great military achievements, both of whom served as commanders in the Kuomintang army. The first is Zheng Jiemin's brother Zheng Tingfeng, who, like his elder brother, graduated from Huangpu, struggled during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the Civil War, and by the eve of the Battle of Pingjin in 1948, he was already a lieutenant general of the 94Th Army, serving under Fu Zuoyi, the commander-in-chief of the North China Suppression Campaign. In January 1949, Fu Zuoyi was forced by the critical situation of the Northeast Field Army besieging the city and chose to revolt, and there were less than 5 senior Kuomintang generals who stubbornly opposed it, including this Zheng Tingfeng. After leaving the Pingjin battlefield by plane, Zheng Tingfeng served as the deputy commander of the Hainan 21st Corps for a time, and then eventually died in Taiwan.
Zheng Tingfeng has a cousin named Zheng Tingfeng, who is as famous as Zheng Tingfeng, and is also a lieutenant general in the army. Zheng Tingdi also participated in three major battles, and unlike Zheng Tingfeng, Zheng Tingfeng did not escape the battlefield in the end, but was captured on the spot as the commander of the Kuomintang 49th Army in the Liaoshen Campaign in 1948 and imprisoned in Gongdelin for reform, along with the famous boss Liao Yaoxiang, commander of the 9th Corps. Many film and television works have descriptions of their transformed careers. As an exemplary student at the Management Institute, General Cheng received the first batch of amnesty qualifications in December 1959 and left Gongdelin to contribute to the work of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the liaison work of Huangpu alumni. Later, he was also an old man with a long life, and lived to the age of 91.
In addition to the above three well-known Kuomintang generals, the Zheng family in Hainan also produced two senior major generals, one was Zheng Tingjun and the other was Zheng Tingzheng, both of whom were brothers of Zheng Tingdi and also served in the Kuomintang army.
