Many people are familiar with this classic mantra: "I'm back again!" This is a line from the classic children's film "Shining Red Star" of the 1970s. The film was filmed in 1974, the male protagonist is the juvenile hero Pan Dongzi, and the negative character is the bully landlord Hu Hansan. Hu Hansan was suppressed in the peasant movement, and after fleeing in a hurry, he waited for an opportunity to return to his hometown, and became the leader of the returning regiment, oppressing the people and doing no evil, and was finally "brought to justice" by Pan Dongzi.
Hu Hansan in the movie is just a fictional character, and his actor Liu Jiang makes Hu Hansan's character image of "bulging eyes and full of flesh" deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. However, what is surprising is that in reality, there is really a Hu Hansan, but this Hu Hansan is a really good person.
The real Hu Hansan was born in 1884 in Shizui Village, Yexi Town, Yuexi County, Anhui Province, and successively studied at the Anhui Wubei Academy and the Baoding Officer School in Hebei Province.

In 1909, Hu Hansan returned to China after completing his studies, and successively served as the deputy of the first infantry regiment of the Shanghai Army, the commander of the second brigade of the vanguard, and the commander of the first infantry regiment of the first division of the Sichuan Army.
From 1929 onwards, Hu Hansan began to have a smooth career, and was successively appointed by Chiang Kai-shek as a senior staff officer at the headquarters of the Eighth Army of the National Revolutionary Army and a staff officer of the Military and Political Department of the Nationalist Government in Nanjing. During this period, Hu Hansan did a great righteous and awe-inspiring thing, because he offended Chiang Kai-shek and eventually ended up with a disarmed and returned to the field, but it was impressive.

On April 18, 1927, Chiang Kai-shek established the Nationalist government in Nanjing, and out of factional strife, he would always have a grudge with the Gui warlords Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi. In March 1929, a major war finally broke out, and two months later it ended in the defeat of the Gui clan, known in history as the "Jiang-Gui War".
Li Jishen, a senior Kuomintang general and a figure of real power, was then a member of the National Government and chief of staff of the Military Commission, and because he was a fellow Guangxi compatriot with Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi and had relatively close relations, he was suspected by Chiang Kai-shek and suspected that Li Jishen was obstructing him. On March 15, 1929, Chiang Kai-shek detained Li Jishen on charges of "dividing up trouble and plotting against the party-state," secretly placed him under house arrest in Tangshan, Nanjing, and deprived him of his military and political powers.

As a classmate and subordinate of Li Jishen, Hu Hansan was deeply dissatisfied with Chiang Kai-shek's arbitrary behavior. So he disregarded his personal safety, rushed to scream for Li Ji's grievances, and finally caused public indignation within the party, causing strong public pressure on Chiang Kai-shek, 1931?'" After the 9.18 incident, Li Jishen was finally released and embarked on the anti-Chiang road from then on.
Because he offended Chiang Kai-shek, Hu Hansan was removed from all his posts, returned to his hometown in Anhui with his wife and children, and began translating Japanese books for the Commercial Press to earn a meager remuneration. Later, through the introduction of classmates, he went to Nanjing, Shanghai and other places to serve as a military academy instructor and returned to his old profession.

When the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out in 1937, Hu Hansan moved his family back to his hometown in Yexi Town, Yuexi County, and then he served as a senator of the Anhui Provincial Senate, doing some things for the people of his hometown.

In 1954, after Li Jishen's recommendation to Huang Yan, the first governor of Anhui Province at that time, Hu Hansan, who was more than a year old, served as a librarian of the Anhui Provincial Museum of Culture and History, and his later life was basically guaranteed. In October 1966, Hu Hansan died of illness at the age of 82.
